Launch Window“The final challenge will be a fun throwback for Flight Simulator X fans, as players are tasked with landing their aircraft on a moving carrier ship's deck, just as Top Gun's Navy pilots do.”

Launch Window“By the time you’re buzzing the tower and making those stuffed shirts spill their coffee, you’ll be ready to take on the Carrier Deck Landing Challenge, which developer Asobo assures us is one of the most demanding operations in military aviation.”

Launch Window“Top Gun: Maverick certainly won’t put as many demands on your time as, say, Elden Ring, but it’s absolutely worth spending a couple of hours in it. And when the electronic guitar of the original Top Gun theme kicks in, it’s like returning to the 1980s for an hour or two.”

Launch Window“Elsewhere, there's a mission to reach the stratosphere, as well as five "high-speed, low-level" challenges that are also focused on navigating tricky, mountainous terrain without crashing and exploding and dying.”

Launch Window“There are also five other challenges, all centered around flying very low and very fast, and one challenge that requires players to land on an aircraft carrier. The expansion also introduces a new hypersonic aircraft that can reach Mach 10 and altitudes higher than 150,000 feet. To go along with that, there’s also a new mission to take your flights into the stratosphere.”
