Launch Window“Misc. A Tiny Tale is a charming, short 3D platformer clearly inspired by Chibi-Robo'to the point where it often feels like a fan-made tribute or low-budget clone. That said, it's a wholesome experience with a good heart, cheerful atmosphere, and likable robotic characters. Unfortunately, the game never truly excels'its platforming feels imprecise, combat is dull, and the visuals reflect its limited budget. It's cute, but hard to shake the feeling you're playing a "Chibi-Robo from Wish."”

Early Review“While Chibi Robo seems to have sadly faded into the background, Misc. A Tiny Tale feels like a hopeful continuation of its legacy. And it’s not just a nostalgic nod, it’s a lovingly crafted adventure in its own right, with a modern polish and a heartfelt message. The game plays smoothly on the SteamDeck and probably equally smooth on the Switch. Misc. A Tiny Tale celebrates the joy of helping others and finding wonder in exploration and finding the small things: they might seem unimportant but not so to someone out there!”

Early Review“The constantly changing level variety and natural drive to 100% each area had me absolutely hooked. Now and then the platforming or level design would slow things down, but never enough to prevent me from pushing through to see what was next. Misc. A Tiny Tale is an easy early pick for my personal indie of the year lineup.”

Early Review“A 3D platformer collectathon which makes up for some dull stretches during its expansive levels with plenty of heart and the undeniable charisma of its tiny bots.”

Early Review“Misc. A Tiny Tale was truly a delight to play. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside in a way so few games do, thanks to a clever reimagining of some of my favorite games from the past. Some more inventive puzzle types, greater variety in tasks and achievements, and a hub world would have really set this apart as a true must-play. But as it stands, I’d easily recommend it to anyone looking for a low-stakes, cozy platformer with a story worth getting sucked into.”

Early Review“Misc. A Tiny Tale is a classic 'we're going on an adventure' mixed with 'little guy in a big world' type of game, that's downright adorable. With such personal storytelling, it's easy to get attached to Buddy and his mate, Bag Boy. The overt themes of environmentalism and reusing items are something that a lot of us know about; these combine well with the more personal themes about obsessive thoughts or depression, which really get to the heart of the story. Some better visual accessibility when picking up rubbish would help, and it's weird how characters chastise players who ask for help. But all in all, Misc. A Tiny Tale is an adorable romp that fans of Pikmin or Chibi-Robo will get a kick out of. It'll be exciting to watch what Tinyware Games does next.”

Early Review“Misc. A Tiny Tale is a charming and delightful first effort from Tinyware – albeit with some wobbles in execution. It sticks very close to classic ideas and struggles with graphical fidelity on Switch, but none of that can undo the charm of the characters and the retro vibe straight from the GameCube era. Until Chibi-Robo hits Nintendo Classics, this will serve all your miniature robot helper needs.”
