Late Review

It’s obvious that the developers put a great deal of work into the game. On the one hand, Mesopotamian culture and history are presented well and detailed enough to be informative, but not so much that it becomes boring. Those who feel inclined can easily dive deeper into the subject on their own, as I did. On the other hand, the game is packed with puzzles, which in fact make up the bulk of the experience. While efforts were made to keep them varied, their sheer number may be off-putting for some players. The game does have its flaws, most notably in its mechanics, and the visual presentation also leaves something to be desired. The core story mainly serves as a framework and, unfortunately, isn’t particularly strong.

"A Journey Between Folklore and Memory" My Father Lied offers a passionate and identity-driven intellectual adventure, blending historical mystery with personal reflection in a simple yet faithful style that reflects the developer's vision. Despite some technical shortcomings, its narrative originality makes it a valuable addition to the independent Arabic gaming scene.
