Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda

Released: 6/13/2019

Keep the beat to keep Hyrule from meeting certain doom in Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda on Nintendo Switch. Discover a one-of-a-kind rhythmic action-adventure that combines the gameplay of Crypt of the NecroDancer with the unique setting and music of The Legend of Zelda series. HYRULE WON’T SAVE ITSELF The king of Hyrule has been forced into slumber by a villainous threat that’s determined to spread a cacophony of enchanted music across the land. Start your quest as Crypt of the NecroDancer’s heroine Cadence, then, once you’ve got the basics down, choose to play as either Link or Princess Zelda to carry on your journey. Explore a randomly generated overworld and dungeons on a quest to protect the world in this action-packed adventure with a rhythmic twist! Navigate the mystifying Lost Woods, wander the streets of Kakariko Village, and visit many memorable locales from The Legend of Zelda series. You might even see a familiar face or two on your travels! GET YOUR GROOVE ON! In Cadence of Hyrule, every beat of each remixed tune is a chance for you – and your enemies – to move from square to square, attack, defend and unleash spells. Time your movements to the music and on-screen beat bar to strategically outstep Octoroks, Lizalfos and even Lynels in rhythmic combat. Step inside a dungeon and you’ll find an ever-changing gauntlet of items, challenges and, at the end of each one, a powerful boss monster. Time to step it up! ITEMS GALORE! Seek out and equip yourself with iconic weapons, spells and treasures from The Legend of Zelda series. Light the way through dark dungeons with a torch, pick off foes at a distance with the bow, set off Bombchus that’ll scurry to the beat, and make sure you’re wearing the right boots to suit your terrain. You’ll also happen across some spells and weapons from Crypt of the NecroDancer too! Some items are consumable or breakable, whereas others will stay with you even if you fall in battle. Speaking of which… NOT MY TEMPO Make one too many wrong moves and it’s game over. If misfortune befalls your hero, you’ll lose any rupees, dungeon keys and consumable items you had saved up. Dungeon floor layouts will change too, meaning you’ll have to keep your wits about you if you plan on returning. Thankfully, diamonds are forever, and you can exchange any gems you’ve collected from fallen enemies for weapons, Heart Containers and other useful items that’ll help you on your quest. Time to get back to it! FIND YOUR RHYTHM This is your journey to undertake, so play it the way that suits you best. A crescendo of challenges awaits in Story mode, and two players can team up in local co-op to tackle this adventure in harmony. If you’re a rhythm maestro, then you can up the ante with the more demanding Perfect mode, where it’s game over if you take damage or miss a beat. LOOKING FOR MORE ADVENTURES WITH LINK?
