“I have never played the first Tiny Lands, and I have a bit to go before I finish Tiny Lands 2, but afterwards I will try the first game as well. I am taking my time with this one – as I mentioned, it is perfect for a spot of gaming in between work tasks. If you like spot-the-difference puzzles and cozy games, you will probably like Tiny Lands 2 as well.”

“Egging On is a very fun and creative experience. Although it’s intimidating and incredibly frustrating at times, I recommend giving it a chance if you’re up for a unique and clever challenge. Even as someone who doesn’t play a lot of challenging games, I was able to make my way to the end with some of the accessibility options and some patience.”

“Even though they wrote on the game's developer page that they consulted with these professors and received grants from this institute, it's truly surprising that they managed to make such an unsuccessful game. If you're curious about the period or psychiatry, instead of playing this game, you might as well check Wikipedia. Or just stare at a plain wall. Both are more entertaining.”

“Rebel Engine stands out because it dares to be different. It’s not a pick-up-and-play kind of title; you do have to learn it, wrestle with it, and occasionally retry encounters thanks to checkpoint placements that could be kinder. But once the systems settle into your hands, it becomes a wonderfully dynamic action game with an enormous amount of freedom in how you fight. With varied enemies, a generous arsenal, excellent accessibility, and a combat loop that encourages creativity, this is absolutely a hidden gem on Steam. If you love indie titles that push boundaries and reward mastery, Rebel Engine deserves a spot in your library.”

“It's a bit of a cop out to say that this is a game for fans of the genre, but it is entirely appropriate with Eurojank. If you've ever played and enjoyed a Piranha Bytes game, then Of Ash and Steel is easy to recommend, especially given the patches and improvements since release. It's also a good entry point for newcomers to the subgenre, though you will still need to tolerate some teething problems. If the game gets its teeth into you then it'll become your new obsession. For others, however, they'll bounce off the game and go back to more polished and forgiving titles.”

“Combining a full narrative adventure with Rhythm-based gameplay is not something most would think about doing. D-Cell Games somehow accomplished this with a fantastic soundtrack, intriguing characters, and an animated flair that's unlike anything else. The imperfections are certainly there with an over-reliance on exploration, jarring narrative elements, and some of the gameplay issues. But the game as a whole, nails the positives so well that it's well worth pushing through to experience in its entirety”

“Coffee Bar Simulator lacks depth or complexity. The game is too simplistic and doesn’t dig deeper into any of the aspects that could have made this game at least somewhat interesting. From an entrepreneur’s point of view, it doesn’t challenge players to take business-savvy decisions to stand out from the competition. Things like lower prices compared to market averages, better indoor decor and seating to create a better atmosphere, higher-quality products, and cleanliness all have zero impact on customer behaviour. The same five NPCs will come back to your coffee shop, no matter how dirty it is, no matter if you have the most expensive coffee in the city, no matter if you decorate your coffee shop or not. Coffee Bar Simulator gets monotonous and dull after just 15 minutes of play. It feels more like a demo, a Beta, or an Alpha, even, rather than a complete game. Accordingly, I can’t rate it, and I won’t dignify it with any of our Thumb Culture Awards.”

“As a free to play game, Sonic Rumble is fine. It provides a Fall Guys-esque battle royale platforming experience with just enough Sonic flavor to distinguish itself adequately as its own thing, though not enough to quite capture the distilled essence of the blue blur. The developers have also been working on implementing new ideas and improving the experience, which is welcome for a live service game. Unfortunately, almost every positive with this game has some sort of caveat, which makes me question its long-term prospects. Ring Survival is a bit lacking in variety at present and doesn’t feel very winnable if you don’t place really well in its first stage. Its monetization can feel almost predatory especially with purchasable upgrades that provide tangible advantages in stages, and the restriction on game modes availability is disappointing. I don’t regret my time playing Sonic Rumble and had a share of fun, but I also don’t see myself coming back to this game years down the line. I don’t love drawing comparisons to competitors on the market, but it’s hard to find a reason to keep playing Sonic Rumble over its generally superior competition.”
