“Upin & Ipin Universe is a strong first step in adapting the series into a video game, and its open world has quite a bit of charm for someone like me, not very savvy about the series. The camera is a constant mess, but if you do continue to power through that major stumbling block, there is a lot to enjoy from this game. Character models are cute, and aspects like the crops growing after watering them or little gestures like how Upin/Ipin take off their sandals when getting into the home are little joys. A lot of heart, and reminds me of those early 2000s game adaptations of other 3D cartoons and animated films, in the best possible way.”

“Beat'em Collection shows Qubyte’s polish in compilation work, with reliable ports, rewind and filters that let these old games run cleanly. The problem is curation. You will find retro oddities such as Iron Commando, Water Margin and Gourmet Warriors, but the set mixes non beat 'em-ups with forgettable Kung Fu and Karateka wannabes. All titles are available separately, as well. If you already own the best entries, this bundle is hard to recommend. Matteo Cadeddu at Gamesource Italia

Jul 22, 2025 | Score 89

“Neon Abyss 2 is an unapologetically intense roguelike that cranks everything up from the first game. It adds an arsenal of wild weapons, evolving pet mechanics (Hatchmons), and a strategic Faith system that shapes each run. The new 4-player co-op mode injects pure multiplayer chaos, elevating the whole experience. Visually sharper and content-packed it’s a delirious, fast-paced explosion of color, combos, and challenge. However, it’s not for the faint-hearted: heavy RNG, overwhelming systems, and a brutal pace can frustrate. Some bosses feel reused, and the sheer volume of features might drown less experienced players. If you’re into hectic roguelikes with absurd build potential and nonstop action, Neon Abyss 2 is a wild, worthy ride. Just don’t expect mercy.”

It's rare to have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world so steeped in Latin American traditions, and in this respect, it's a great success. However, its limitations are clear. The repetitiveness of the quests, the lack of clarity of certain objectives, and the numerous technical bugs prevent the game from shining in all its glory.
