“Dead as Disco already feels like a game that knows exactly who it is. The vibe is excellent, the combat feels good, and when everything locks together on beat, it gives that exact satisfied feeling rhythm game fans chase. It is not a walk in the park, though, and that difficulty actually works in its favor because it makes the victories feel earned. Even in Early Access, this is the kind of game I’d keep coming back to because the style, music, and gameplay loop all hit the right note. With so much more on the developer timeline, I am DOWN for some more disco.”

“In no moment did I feel annoyed whilst playing This Is Fine: Maximum Cope, to my absolute surprise. It was a competent, somewhat well-designed metroidvania, with decent level design and boss battles to make up for underwhelming visuals and a generic combat system. Is it my favorite metroidvania? No. I also doubt I would have ever considered playing it if it wasn’t for this reviewing opportunity, as I have zero interest in the meme that inspired the game as a whole. But I’ll be honest with you: I expected a LOT less from it.”

Additionally, the story—which began with an ambitious scope—falters at its end. In short, if you are looking for a game to showcase your console's power and enjoy a solid and fun gameplay experience for hours, Saros is an excellent choice. However, if you expect more from the story or variety in enemies and Roguelite elements, you may feel some disappointment halfway through.”
