If you love bikes the same way that the team at Milestone does, then Ride 6 may feel like a dream, and there is an enjoyable game here; I just wish it had more in-depth content to keep me ripping down the tarmac for months to come.

There is definitely fun to be had in Highguard, especially with a group of friends, but as it stands, I wouldn’t bet on it becoming the new Apex of the genre because it’s nowhere near that level.

Football Manager 26 represents the biggest change for the franchise in two decades, with improved tactical options and the best match engine in series history. FM26 is still a strong offering, although some missing features combined with the need to learn a whole new UI might be too much of a challenge for series veterans.

Thrive: Heavy Lies The Crown is not a bad game it's just a game that is chasing the greats and constantly falling short. However, falling short in this genre tends to mean you are still a decent game.

You might be left feeling like F1 25 is playing things a bit too safe and not taking any risks. BUT who can blame Codemasters for coasting behind a safety car when they have no direct competition.

Lost Records Bloom & Rage is a game filled with bright spots that just couldn't connect with me. The core mystery is uninteresting and story pacing hurts it further. That being said, if the story clicks with you there is definitely something to enjoy. Though there are many better options throughout the genre.

In the end, as a fan of the genre, Ixion is a deep city-building strategy game that puts a bigger focus on story to set itself apart from the competition. So, if you’re familiar with the genre, Ixion is definitely worth a try. Unfortunately, given its current technical issues and less-than-optimal controller-friendly design on console, I can say it’s a decent game with lots of space for improvement. So, for now, if you have the option to experience this game on PC, I strongly suggest that platform as it feels built solely for it.

Europa is a beautiful adventure, that combines simple puzzles with emotion-filled music and free-flowing traversal throughout a gorgeous landscape. It truly is a Journey like experience, I just wish it had leaned into that even more.

Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland isn’t a bad game, it is very simple while also being complicated due to the lack of tutorials. Rugrats can’t decide if it wants to be for the people that grew up with the show or young gamers just starting their journey. This meant that it is not for me, but it might be for you.

XDefiant is off to a good start, but to compete with the likes of Call of Duty or Overwatch, it still needs some tweaks and additional content.

I’m very conflicted on Planet Zoo: Console Edition because the core game and systems are absolutely outstanding and among the best in the genre, but I couldn’t help constantly thinking, “I bet this is a much better experience on PC.”

Ultimately, Taxi Life is a cool concept that sets itself apart from something like the more hectic and beloved Crazy Taxi and deserves the same level of execution and resources as Asobo Studio’s Flight-Simulator series. Unfortunately, the technical shortcomings shine through the most, which takes lots of points off this otherwise unique and interesting experience.

Football Manager 2024 doesn’t change much from last year’s game, but the changes it does make can greatly impact how you choose to play. Ultimately, it gives you the tools to live out your fantasy more than ever, making it a must-play for series fans.

UFC 5 is a good game, but the move to a new engine isn't as revolutionary as it has been in the past for other EA franchises. Sure, it looks and sounds better, but I could never escape the feeling that I was just playing a nicer-looking UFC 4. If you have that game you don't need to buy this one, you'll enjoy your time all the same.

Ravenlok is a Zelda-inspired take on Alice in Wonderland with colourful characters and places to explore, thanks to its great presentation and simple but fun gameplay. It's a perfect game for any young children looking for a fun afternoon.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox was clearly crafted with love as it nails what it is to be a fantastic Metroidvania, wrapping it up in a Lovecraftian murder mystery. Every part of this game feeds wonderfully into the others, creating a great experience that is only really let down by some mechanical inconsistencies.

Cassette Beasts is a fantastic monster collecting game, one that is clearly inspired by old-school Pokémon but betters it in every aspect. This is the game I wish Pokémon was; for me, it's the new master of the monster-collecting genre.

Football Manager 2023 is another year of evolution for the series, with small but meaningful changes to established proven system. This results in a game that is the best in the series no question, one for die-hards and newcomers to enjoy.

Crossfire X is a game truly of two halves and while neither is going to blow you away, it's a shame that two decent single player campaigns are completely let down by a lacklustre Multiplayer offering.
