Launch Window“The Finals' best moments are measured in milliseconds, and the time spent in between them is always a rush.”

Launch Window“Thanks to this much-needed remaster, a new generation can finally experience the joy, and hope, of We Love Katamari.”

Launch Window“For the first time in a long time, I feel like I have a healthy relationship with World of Warcraft. I'm playing because I want to, not because I need to. I'm driven by a new sense of exploration and comradery, rather than seeing a number tick up that I know will be lost to time. It does feel like the start of a new era for the gracefully aging MMO, and I'm excited to see what's next.”

Launch Window“Dome Keeper is a well-disguised time-management game with a great atmosphere and plenty of ways to engage with its content.”

Launch Window“A technical marvel with visuals intended to convey so much information to the player that no amount of gameplay footage will adequately prepare you for them. Hyper Demon is a sequel that expands on and improves a winning formula.”

Launch Window“Klonoa is stuck in classic-game-port limbo -- not given enough shine to stack up against other remasters, and not quite zesty enough to hold up to modern titles. Still, a helping of nostalgia or appreciation for classic games makes these two otherwise great titles worthy of a playthrough.”

Launch Window“The Nioh Collection is an absurdly good value proposition: two fantastic titles with a staggering amount of content and a stellar battle system make these some of the best action games available.”

Launch Window“Olija may fail to make as big of a splash as its influences, but it's a worthwhile adventure with a palpable atmosphere.”

Early Review“A reinvention of a childhood favorite of mine, The Powder Toy, Noita amazes with its pixel-perfect simulation of physics, chemistry, and magic.”

Launch Window“SnowRunner is the stay-inside game we need right now. Slow, rewarding, and providing just enough resistance to keep the player sharp, it's a singularly zen experience that's made for a particular kind of person -- even those who avoid more genre-standard titles.”

Launch Window“Kunai knows grappling hooks are cool, so it gives you two of them. But beyond its best feature, it's an indie adventure that falls just a bit short of its excellent peers.”

Early Review“Sparklite is a safe, stock-standard rogue-lite RPG that attempts to mimic The Legend of Zelda, but never manages to emulate it. An otherwise brief journey that requires some samey exploration to prepare for late-game hurdles leaves this adventure feeling a little stale.”

Launch Window“For a game set in space, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is rich in atmosphere. While some activities are a bit of a letdown, there's a lot of gratification in cashing in a hefty profit from a lengthy space-truckin' session.”

Launch Window“Gato Roboto is a refreshingly simple take on the Metroidvania formula. It's not going to impress everyone, but if you're just looking for solid side-scrolling action and a pretty cute cat, it won't disappoint.”

Late Review“Despite its humor, Duck Game is far from a joke of a game. Tightly designed and easy to jump into, it's a sure pick for anyone looking to entertain some company.”

Launch Window“Assault Android Cactus+ is the baked potato of twin-stick shooters. A perfectly cooked center, loaded with all the extra goods, and a dollop of charm for good measure. It's a perfect fit on Switch with its drop-in multiplayer and bite-sized levels, especially for those with score-chasing in mind.”

Launch Window“Watching any number of people scream at the insanity on screen in a Lethal League Blaze match is one of life's finer pleasures. No words can express the feeling of hitting a ball that's broken the time-space continuum, and I strongly urge anyone looking for a new party or fighting game to give this a try. It's hard to look back.”
10/30/2018
Launch Window“As charming as it may appear, Save me Mr. Tako never convinced me it was being genuine. Barebones level design, poor writing, and frustrating design choices make this overly-sweet experience nauseating.”
10/29/2018
Launch Window“Newcomers, don't hesitate: these are two fantastic titles, and ultimately there's nothing wrong with them. Long-time fans should probably think twice, however, due to little-to-no extras and some questionable alterations.”

Launch Window“The game equivalent of a fortune cookie after a filling meal, The Heist is simply more of the same in a bite-sized package. There are few new ideas here, and a weak ending and overly short experience should make fans wary.”
