A.I.L.A is ultimately a typical genre title — a standard low-budget horror game that, despite offering an interesting concept and a few original touches, doesn’t bring much new as a whole. Still, it’s sure to entertain fans who don’t have high expectations and deliver exactly what they’re looking for.

BrokenLore: LOW is a very short but otherwise remarkable psychological horror game, which plays with the player's perception and mind. It also combines symbolism and surrealism. However, only further stories will tell if it becomes a cult classic and captivate enthusiasts of this genre or quickly fade into oblivion.

Panelak is a short horror game with an enjoyable retro atmosphere, puzzles, and interesting concept, but also several endings. If you are a fan of similar games, do not hesitate to try this game. You can buy it on Steam, where it costs only a few bucks. For your purchase you get quite a good game, which is sadly little short, but you will get Czech dubbing as a bonus.

Pneumata is an ambitious first-person horror adventure game, and considering that it was actually made by only one developer, it turned out very well. Too bad it didn't avoid some unnecessary mistake.

Shift 87 is a very short little horror game that stands out for its great atmosphere and well-crafted scares. A must play for big horror fans, but everyone else might be disappointed. Keep in mind, however, that sometimes less is more...

Eresys is a pretty good horror adventure game with nice and atmospheric graphical style and decent mechanics. The co-op requirement also doesn't serve to undermine its potential, so if you're looking for a Lovecraft-inspired horror, look no further.

SpellForce: Conquest of Eo is not, most likely, a game that fans of the original series will love. It's a solid turn-based strategy game, but it's not really remarkable or innovative in any way.

Them and Us is a pretty decent pastiche of the older Resident Evil titles. Some players might be put off by the high difficulty, however even that is well compensated by the strong atmosphere.

Transient is an another well done tribute to Lovecraft from the studio formerly known as Zoetrope Interactive. But even though the world building is solid as always, the game is sadly too short and the ending too abrupt to elevate the game to anything beyond an above average title.

Even though Conglomerate 451 did include plenty of interesting ideas, the only thing that's keeping it from sinking into the depths of mediocrity is the well-done character progression system. The repetitive gameplay and dull visuals make it impossible to reccomend to anyone other than the hardcore dungeon RPG fans.

Devotion differentiates itself from other horror games by its touching and comprehensible story and incorporating Taiwanese folklore. A short playing time of about three hours suits it and the absence of puzzles or enemies is justified. Too bad about the unnecessary controversy that will probably overwhelm these undeniable positives.
