GamesCreedMay 20, 2026Score 76Pre-release Review

“Luna Abyss has its own identity that sets it apart from more generic shooters with its mysterious world, strange characters, oppressive environments, and constant sense of danger. It never feels like a standard military FPS with a sci-fi skin layered on top.”

“While it’s a short experience, Duck Side of the Moon boasts graceful movement and controls that make zipping around a friendly little galaxy immensely fun. It does not revolutionize anything you’ve seen before that carries the “cozy” tag with it but rather shows incredible promise for a new studio making games, bringing light into a currently dim moment in the industry.”

“Birushana: Winds of Fate does a commendable job of adding extra spicy scenes that were missing from the original Birushana game. It also does a great job of adding substance to almost every love interest from the original game.”

GameSpotMay 19, 2026Score 80Pre-release Review

“It's still simple, but not quite as simple, it's bursting with even more secrets, and it's another playful take on a mythology that I love. It's the most fun I've had with a Lego game since 2005, and a template for how Lego games can rebuild into something greater, piece by piece.”

Everyeye.itMay 19, 2026Score 75Pre-release Review

“The artistic vision, grounded in paper and pastel colors, is very pleasing, but the simple level design and overly timid sound design could dull the experience for more mature players. However, this is rewarded with a handful of concluding chapters that finally seem free from the yoke of accessibility at all costs.”

“For a game I was so excited for, it didn’t deliver what I was expecting or hoping for at all. What I felt with Mixtape wasn’t blissful nostalgia brought about by a poignant narrative. What I felt was complete and utter bewilderment that such a pretentious, mediocre product is being absolutely glazed as brilliant perfection by nearly every other major outlet. There are no stakes, no dialogue choices, no secrets, no alternate endings. There’s nothing but a boring, hollow experience that had me questioning if the creators even knew what the 90s were like. So I ask again, am I missing something?”

“Overall, R-Type Dimensions III is a messy and inaccurate port of the SNES game. While the 3D rendition looks nice, it’s at the expense of the fidelity of the 2D original, and I think that’s very unfortunate.”

“Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is a charming, innovative 2D puzzle-platformer that breathes fresh life into a classic formula. Despite some longer load times, its beautiful watercolor world, smooth Switch 2 performance, and addictive, cozy exploration loop make this evolution a must-play for fans of the series. $59.88 at Walmart $59.99 at Amazon(Switch) $69.99 at Target $69.99 at P.C. GameOnlyMay 19, 2026Score 40Pre-release Review

“Playing Thick As Thieves felt more like interacting with an expanded demo or an early access title than a full release. One thing that deserves praise is that the developers communicate the available content in the store page quite clearly. Right now, however, it’s a game that offers very little.”

“Any fan of Spellgarden Games would know it developed Thrifty Business at first glance. Of course, the name is very close to that of the studio’s first game, Sticky Business. But there’s something more than that. It’s as though love and kindness are woven into the game. And that’s why I love playing Thrifty Business: it’s a chill sim with heart.”

CerealkillerzMay 19, 2026Score 80Pre-release Review

“Expectation management is the magic word when it comes to Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which is, in itself, a wonderful game. Anyone looking for an extremely relaxing adventure that primarily sparks curiosity will find exactly that here. The little dinosaur also makes for a perfect introduction to video games. Experienced platformer fans, however, should keep in mind that there is virtually no gameplay challenge beyond thoroughly exploring every corner of a level. Hardcore gamers, in particular, may potentially find themselves bored here.”

TheXboxHubMay 19, 2026Score 100

“The real beauty of Forza Horizon 6 is in how the Japanese world feels alive, and how rewarding it is to just go bimbling about. FH6 was always going to be an easy sell, and a reskinned FH5 would probably have sufficed, but Playground Games have smashed it out of the park. The world is great, the cars are amazing, and the racing action, whether on the streets, on the track, or in the wilds, is second to none.”
