UagnaJun 28, 2026Score 73

“At first glance, Bellwright might seem like the classic mix of RPG, survival, and sandbox elements already seen in dozens of other indie titles. However, its strong management component sets it apart from the dangerous label of “more of the same,” making it a deep and enjoyable game. Bellwright is a diamond in the rough: a sandbox in the truest sense of the word, but also an excellent role-playing game that fans of the genre will appreciate. Unfortunately, the console port currently limits the experience, compounded by an interface that’s difficult to navigate with a controller and insufficient optimization. At the time of this review’s publication, however, the game is still in early access: Donkey Crew therefore has plenty of time to step in and iron out the kinks ahead of the full release.”

“SoulQuest knows exactly where it shines and puts all of its efforts into that. Combat is the game's biggest highlight, successfully capturing the essence of hack and slash titles. However, it stumbles in areas such as level design, platforming sections, and early-game balancing. Even so, SoulQuest is sure to please fans of stylish combat and deep combo systems, making it an experience well worth checking out.”

“Star Fox is a visual spectacle, a space opera on the Nintendo Switch 2, with Nintendo once again using the 1997 game as a base to showcase technical prowess. The Switch 2 release is a fitting tribute to the original, expanding on character lore and personality - bar a few watered down vocal lines. It is still a short campaign to the credits roll, but extra challenges, surpassingly enjoyable co-op, and fun multiplayer do add a hefty bit of replay value. The Lylat Region is in safe hands once more!”

“Dave the Diver: In the Jungle is not just a simple addition to the original package, but a dazzling declaration of love from Mintrocket toward its own creation. Moving away from free micro-crossovers, the Korean team has crafted a paid expansion that is massive in terms of content, matching few others in recent gaming history. Moreover, it is capable of almost entirely revolutionizing the gameplay loop, refreshing the original title's experience and making it highly appealing again two years after its release. In short, Dave is back, he has shed his skin, and his jungle feast is simply unmissable.”

“EA Sports UFC 6 is a damn impressive fighting experience that captures the visceral brutality of the sport perfectly, all whilst adding meaningful additions that make the fighting more exciting and the experience more accessible. The brilliant presentation of the new game modes and the tactical excitement of the new Flow State mechanics successfully breathe fresh life into the series, and whilst the pacing can suffer a little in Career Mode and the online play can be a little laggy, when you are locked inside the cage and trading leather, the core combat is an absolute blast. It’s just a highly entertaining package that checks almost every box an MMA fan could ask for.”

“Dark Scrolls is a trip down memory lane that emphasizes more tripping than memories. While charming in its adherence to retro stylings, it’s a lesson in why some of that game design is no longer the standard for roguelikes. For folks itching to relive the glory days of figuring out how to play a game all on your own, Dark Scrolls is a hunk of coarse sand paper to scratch that particular itch.”

The combat system remains strong and responsive, and the series’ identity is still visible in its counter-based mechanics and brisk pacing.”

“Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a remake with two faces. For players who have never played the original, this is undoubtedly the best way to get acquainted with one of Nintendo's most unique franchises. Despite its age, the gameplay still feels surprisingly fresh, the arcade setup works excellently, and the audiovisual presentation is among the best the Switch 2 currently has to offer. For fans, the story is slightly different. The remake is so faithful to the original that there are hardly any surprises to be found. Everything that once made Star Fox 64 great is still present, but virtually nothing goes a step further. Nevertheless, it remains a high-quality Nintendo production that shows why Star Fox 64 has been considered a classic for nearly thirty years. Not an instant classic in itself, but certainly the definitive version of a timeless classic.”

“Dark Scrolls isn't the first to do what it does—after all, roguelikes and roguelites don't keep coming out so frequently by accident, even if there are complaints about genre saturation—but it is very well-executed and excels at it. Not to mention that chaotic co-op has become a staple in games famously known for tearing families apart, like Overcooked (it might sound like an exaggeration, but there’s a grain of truth to it).”

“Dead or Alive 6: Last Round delivers mechanically sound, fluid 3D fighting anchored by dynamic stages, but the dated PS4-era visuals, repetitive combos, and subpar netcode severely sting. My hope is that the multiplayer is able to maintain a reasonable crowd post-launch, and that perhaps content is added to flesh out what is a very promising mode. While I've been down this road before, Star Fox 2026 is the most confident I've ever felt that we may move past the realm of remasters, remakes, and reimaginings and into the wonderful world of sequels, built on this excellent foundation.”

4News.itJun 25, 2026Score 75

“The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a rather unusual game, with many strengths but not without its flaws, and I cannot help but regard it, in some respects, as a missed opportunity. It had all the potential to be a masterpiece, but this was unfortunately undermined by a somewhat banal script and controversial design choices. It is a game with solid, satisfying and technically well-balanced gameplay, but one that stumbles due to a narrative lacking in spark and a map design that relies too heavily on reused elements. The path taken by the team with this HD-2D-style action RPG is a bold one, but probably not yet fully realised. If the aim was to set a new benchmark for the genre, the result has only been partially achieved. We’re looking at a decent adventure, perfect for those seeking a well-crafted action game; it won’t revolutionise the genre, but it can certainly serve as a good starting point for refining and improving this formula in the studio’s future releases. We’d like to remind you that *The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales* is available from 18 June 2026 on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, and that you can also try it out for yourself thanks to the free demo.”

Latest: EA Sports UFC 6

4News.itJun 25, 2026Score 86

“EA Sports UFC 6 is the most comprehensive and ambitious instalment in the recent series, because it doesn’t merely refine the formula: it reimagines it around a more fluid, personalised and visually convincing striking system, more impactful real-time combat, and a richer, more narrative-driven content structure. The game wins you over not because it radically changes the genre, but because it makes every fighter more recognisable, every exchange easier to follow and every impact more palpable, transforming combat inside the octagon into an experience felt more with the body than through mere execution. Striking has been completely reimagined, with over a thousand brand-new animations and greater focus on the fighter’s personality. Real-Time Contact and the work on the Frostbite engine make impacts, takedowns and reactions more realistic, whilst the Flow State conveys the idea of getting into the rhythm of the fight, linking momentum to style and forcing the player to adapt when the match shifts in momentum and direction. It’s a choice that shifts the focus from mere execution to reading the moment, where timing, distance and choice of attack become more important. The game modes are more robust: the career mode is richer and more branching; ‘The Legacy’ with Chris Carter offers a more scripted narrative entry point; ‘Hall of Legends’ celebrates icons such as Alex Pereira, Max Holloway and Weili Zhang; and ‘The La Palestra’ creates a shared progression hub. UFC 6 aims to bring together storytelling, career progression and character development within a more cohesive ecosystem than in previous instalments. On the PS5 Pro, the fighters’ rendering is the most noticeable improvement, with more believable faces, postures and micro-expressions thanks to Markerless Capture and Sapien. The audio, featuring 3D spatial audio and ambisonic sound, makes the arena an integral part of the immersive experience, whilst the soundtrack – superb to say the least – is amongst the best ever created for a sports title. It’s not without its flaws: the Flow State might be too intrusive; the submissions have been refined but don’t offer the same leap in quality that’s evident in other areas of EA Sports UFC 6; and those looking for a radical change might be left disappointed.”
