Twisted VoxelMay 24, 2026Score 60

“Warren Spector’s Thick as Thieves delivers a bite-sized, budget-friendly homage to classic immersive sims that shines brightest in co-op. However, a lean content offering, sterile solo play, and an underwhelming text-heavy narrative keep this otherwise mechanically sound, Edwardian-era heist from pulling off the ultimate crime.”

“Yoshi and the Mysterious Book invites us back to Yoshi's Island with a fresh, fun, and original adventure that will keep us hooked "between its pages" for hours. It’s a game that sets aside the traditional focus on difficulty and reflexes, choosing instead to center on curiosity, investigation, and experimentation—a cocktail that makes it a highly compelling choice and a must-have for our Nintendo library.”

“LumenTale is proof that being passionate about a series of videogames does not mean that you have to blindly follow in its footsteps: the combat system is able to cleverly mix elements from both Pokémon and Final Fantasy, while genuinely feeling like its own thing. What more could you ask for?”

“Fail Fail Succeed is one of those games that do what they do nigh-on perfectly. The minimalist art and satisfyingly tricky puzzles are a delight. But it’s the sense of kindness and compassion at the core of its beautifully implemented ludonarrative premise that, as it lovingly taxed our brains, simultaneously stole our hearts.”

EvilgamerzMay 22, 2026Score 85

“The game is certainly not perfect; the combat and puzzles are too easy, the vehicles could have offered more freedom, and those prompt bugs are just annoying. But there is a lot to compensate for that. Gotham City looks beautiful, the Batcave is surprisingly fun to build out, and there is a huge amount to do in the city. The story might not be very long, but the amount of side content and unlocks ensures that you won't be nearly done with it when the credits roll. For Batman fans, this is an absolute must-have and the best Batman game since the Arkham series. For anyone in the mood for a large, accessible open-world game with plenty of humor, many unlocks, and a wonderful atmosphere, this is also one to keep an eye on.”

“Coffee Talk Tokyo is a good sequel for anyone who wants a late-night café story built around careful listening and drink clues. The Tokyo setting gives the series a new identity, Tomodachill adds useful context, and the drink-making gives your barista role real purpose. The café itself doesn’t grow enough, and liked posts should be easier to revisit, but the character writing makes the 15-night story worth seeing through if you want a thoughtful visual novel with light recipe puzzles.”
