“I can confidently say that Bubsy 4D is Bubsy's first competent game. It's not spectacular, and you certainly shouldn't expect much more than 15 short, fun levels with great movement, but the game isn't as awful as Bubsy 3D or as bad as… well, the rest of the series.”

Duuro MagazineMay 22, 2026Score 90

“Luna Abyss surprised me in the best way. It looks familiar for about five seconds, then reveals itself as something much stranger, smarter, and more exciting. The combat has a brilliant rhythm, the movement feels phenomenal, the world is wonderfully bizarre, and the level design constantly rewards curiosity and confidence. It is one of those games where the phrase "FPS with a twist" actually means something.”

EvilgamerzMay 22, 2026Score 85

“The game is certainly not perfect; the combat and puzzles are too easy, the vehicles could have offered more freedom, and those prompt bugs are just annoying. But there is a lot to compensate for that. Gotham City looks beautiful, the Batcave is surprisingly fun to build out, and there is a huge amount to do in the city. The story might not be very long, but the amount of side content and unlocks ensures that you won't be nearly done with it when the credits roll. For Batman fans, this is an absolute must-have and the best Batman game since the Arkham series. For anyone in the mood for a large, accessible open-world game with plenty of humor, many unlocks, and a wonderful atmosphere, this is also one to keep an eye on.”

“It's hard not to appreciate the creative courage behind a project like Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. Nintendo takes one of its historically more laid-back series and transforms it into something that completely rejects modern platforming conventions, crafting an experience centered on pure fantasy, curiosity, and the joy of discovery.”

SmashPadMay 21, 2026Score 40Pre-release Review

“Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection is like poop in a baby's diaper. It's significantly ugly, outdated in its gameplay offerings, and genuinely frustrating, with a gallery of glitches. While some of the minigames can be fun overall, most are outdated and shouldn't have been re-released. It is a decent flash in the past and great for preservation, on the other hand.”

“To see Bubsy finally overcome its infamous legacy and deliver a fun, albeit flawed, experience has me hopeful that Atari will build on what's a solid foundation in place and give a possible Bubsy sequel the polish and investment that could truly (I can't believe I'm saying this), make it great.”

Multiplayer FirstMay 21, 2026Score 75Pre-release Review

“Bubsy 4D could have easily been written off as another disappointing attempt to revive the series, but developer Fabraz put some love and care into it and gave us the best Bubsy game since at least the original two. The controls actually work well, the humor is there, and the actual gameplay is quite fun in a 3D environment. The biggest downside to the game overall is just how short it is, with only 15 levels, which feels more like a demo in that way. Even so, at least the series appears to be on the right track, and hopefully, this will be just the foundation to build upon for more fleshed-out adventures for Bubsy.”

“Even with some repetition issues, Table Flip Simulator packs quite a bit for its $14.99 price tag. If you’d like to have a cozy type of game that lets you cause a scene, not too dissimilar from Untitled Goose Game or a pared-down Goat Simulator, this is a solid value. There’s good fun to be had, as it genuinely got me chuckling for what I could take down along the way.”

Latest: Bubsy 4D

Push SquareMay 21, 2026Score 60Pre-release Review

“In some ways, Bubsy 4D is the best the series has ever been; the bobcat's wide range of abilities affords him a huge amount of freedom to move through levels with style. However, a fairly narrow focus on movement means other aspects suffer; enemies may as well not be there, and stages are static and sparsely furnished. The result is a good 3D platforming character stuck in a pretty bland 3D platformer.”

Although the franchise still carries the ghost of limited visual customization (often due to rigid licensing agreements) and occasional AI problems, the impeccable performance and lighting, with or without ray tracing, make this title a must-have work of art for any speed enthusiast.”
