Worth PlayingAug 26, 2026Score 96Pre-release Review

“Ultimately, Zero Company is a great turn-based strategy game that happens to be set in the Star Wars universe. It never feels like a corporate mandate to make a genre game with a recognizable license. Instead, it feels like a group of talented developers genuinely wanted to explore what the genre could do and had the freedom to experiment. Those ideas succeed far more often than they stumble, and the game's excellent use of the Clone Wars setting makes Zero Company one of the most entertaining turn-based strategy games I've played in a long time.”

TryAGame!Aug 26, 2026Score 60Pre-release Review

“The spin-off Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will have put aside some structuring aspects of the series: the team (a top when you make a game in a bunch of pirates), stealth, a certain discourse about childhood and betrayal. There is still immense work done on writing and dialogues, the credibility of the characters who would have deserved to be put in another context of a labyrinth that will be lived like a corridor. To see if the studio will do another part on Arnaud.”

Seasoned GamingAug 26, 2026Score 80Pre-release Review

“Even as derivative as its gameplay may be, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is still a damn fine action-adventure epic. It’s tight in scope, knows where to place its focus, and fills the void with a style of game that’s been gone longer than it needed to be. It may not be my favorite game in the A Plague Tale franchise, but it’s proof there is still light to be found in this nihilistic world.”

“Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is an excellent port of one of the best games of recent years, which, despite its massive scale, runs and looks surprisingly well on the Nintendo Switch 2. FromSoftware has made excellent use of the extra time to optimise the game, meaning we can now comfortably explore the Lands Between virtually anywhere. If you have a Switch 2, Elden Ring isn’t just worth playing – it’s a must-play.”

“Star Wars Zero Company is an excellent tactical game that does a fantastic job of slathering on the same cinematic look and feel we saw in Respawn's Star Wars Jedi games, incorporating strong characters and a storyline that's refreshingly centered on non-Force users and a non-traditional villain.”

“The Sinking City 2 is a survival horror game that clearly draws inspiration from the latest entries in the Resident Evil series, only to carve out its own path under the influence of the unsettling atmospheres described by H.P. Lovecraft. The new installment in the saga created by Frogware is a completely standalone sequel to the prequel, but unfortunately, despite its in-depth lore, the plot tends to lose its way at times, and the narrative’s pacing falters on more than one occasion. The gameplay and puzzles, however, are excellent and kept us thoroughly entertained.”

“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a striking and unsettling title that intelligently steers the franchise toward ambitious new horizons. Enjoyable for both A Plague Tale veterans and newcomers alike, it offers a fast-paced journey featuring puzzles, evocative exploration, and a narrative that intertwines the Macula with the myth of the Minotaur—all while incorporating a combat system that is basic yet aggressive and fun. It is a dark game brimming with ideas that is unlikely to disappoint.”

“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy proves that this universe doesn’t need to belong exclusively to Amicia, Hugo or even the rats. There are other stories worth telling in this world, and if this is what Asobo can do with Sophia, then I genuinely hope the A Plague Tale Legacy name becomes an opportunity to explore even more of them.”

“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy isn't meant to be just a sequel, but rather a standalone action-adventure set in the familiar universe. The shift from helpless tension to aggressive sword-fighting is risky, but it fits Sophia as the protagonist in a way that makes sense. Resonance is a fantastic action-adventure that tells an emotional and compelling story.”

IGN SpainAug 26, 2026Score 70Pre-release Review

“Set during the darkest years of the Clone Wars, Star Wars Zero Company features a compelling story that will hook you as long as you're a Star Wars fan. Its charismatic characters and gameplay with multiple layers of complexity clash with overly simplistic exploration and a streamlined, mechanical mission system that doesn't measure up to the rest of the game. With plenty of customization options, multiple progression trees, and great ideas in combat, it's on the battle grid where Star Wars Zero Company showcases Bit Reactor's strong work and the influence of some of its members' experience on titles like X-COM.”

The combat is deep enough to challenge longtime strategy fans, yet flexible enough to remain approachable, while the characters are well written and backed by compelling stories of their own. RPGamers looking for their next tactical RPG should have Star Wars Zero Company at the top of their list.”
