Launch Window“Grit and Valor – 1949 is a serviceable mech tactics game that has equally serviceable rogue-like elements. I wish that there could be more to the story and characters, but what’s already here is good for at least 16 to 20 hours of play. If you like tactics games, you will definitely like this neat little experience. The mechs are a definite bonus but don’t go expecting anything too deep. Or anything that resembles a story or even characters.”

Launch Window“The game is published by Gameloft, well-known for its mobile games in the mid-2000s, and developed by its Brisbane studio. Although they have then expanded across various platforms and consoles, I have played several games from them and I believe they have done this Carmen Sandiego game quite well.”

Launch Window“Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is a well-deserved PC port of SEGA’s fighting game series, and most certainly a good show considering its rivals are showing up well like the aforementioned Tekken or Street Fighter and even King of Fighters or one of its main series’ up-and-coming entry, Garou : City of the Wolves. Everything adds up and the upcoming collabs seem promising, and even the throwback DLCs are worth taking a look at especially for older fans of the series who have wanted to see the old looks again. In the immortal words of Joe Bob Briggs, “Four and a half stars! Check it out!”.”

Launch Window“It’s really tough to recommend SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada. There’s really nothing worth investing in to keep you coming back into this extraction shooter. It’s interesting in concept but the flaws in its execution along with it being filled with some in-your-face microtransactions make it hard to even approach.”

Launch Window“Even though the bugs and glitches weren’t addressed in Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, I still enjoyed the game tremendously, as it brings back memories of the good old days and all the rage after getting killed by clankers because of an animation lock. It’s refreshing to experience such a classic fun Star Wars game again on modern hardware, it makes the kid in me want to go back to the early 2000s just to sit in front of my CRT television, put the disc in, and push that power button.”

Launch Window“To summarize everything, Kong: Survivor Instinct is quite good, enjoyable even. The gameplay is nice, the story is engaging enough that you are pulled in to see the very end, the combat might take you some time to learn as the battles keep ramping up and keep things fresh up to the last battle. The obstacles are clever enough to keep you on your toes, which is nice. In the immortal words of Joe Bob Briggs, “Three stars, so check it out!”.”

Launch Window“Sons of Valhalla may have fallen short in a couple of categories but it made up in the ones that truly matter, particularly in the gameplay department. You can also complete the campaign in a little more than 8 hours. I’ll still take that over any bloated open-world collect-a-thon any day. If you like 2D action games with a hint of base management, you can’t go wrong with Sons of Valhalla.”

Launch Window“Overall, I really enjoyed the game despite its flaws. My love for survival horror games played a role in my positive experience playing Daymare: 1994. The developer’s passion and dedication to creating a game that pays homage to classic survival horror games is a testament to their efforts to capture the essence of the genre I enjoy. Hopefully, the developer takes these insights into consideration to further refine and improve the game through updates and patches. If you are a fan of this genre, I recommend checking this game out.”

Launch Window“Summing everything up, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is a great game, one worthy of playing again and again, with its great soundtrack, responsive controls, the level of fun learning boss patterns, and completing the game 100% is a great accomplishment. In the words of Joe Bob, “4 stars, check it out!”.”

Late Review“We Were Here Forever is a title that stands out on its own. I for one was in awe of what this game has to offer, from its strange story to the various challenges the game throws at you. Fully encouraging players to communicate clearly and really define the term “teamwork”. Nothing can be achieved alone in this game.”

Launch Window“Overall, Wildcat Gun Machine is a decent shooter. There are aspects of the game that feels unpolished or even rushed but the core gameplay loop is fun and that is what should ultimately matter. Hopefully, the game gets better through patches. Cause as it is right now, it’s only worth a single 6-8 hour run with hardly any reason to go for a second or more.”

Launch Window“It has been mentioned a couple of times in this piece now, but the success of Bloodhunt still heavily relies on how much content the devs will keep on putting on this game. They will have to strike the right balance and quality of the next new game modes, archetypes, and possibly game mechanics to invite players who are unfamiliar with the franchise, as well as invite long time Vampire: The Masquerade fans to try out this weird concoction. The concept has potential, the sparks just needs constant fanning to catch on to a larger player base and become the next hit battle royale.”

Launch Window“Overall, Forgive Me Father is an immersive horror comic book style FPS with chilling backdrops and atmospheric sounds, even though the game is linear it lets you experiment with your approach with upgrades that you can implement in your weapons, stats, inventory, or your abilities. All of that is complemented with a chilling atmosphere straight out of H.P. Lovecraft’s novels that urge players to enter the rabbit hole of mystery that the game’s story gives while pushing through horrific hordes of enemies left and right in your own way.”

Launch Window“There haven’t been a lot of management and cooking simulator games released recently, and I’m starting to wonder if any of them can top the originals. However, Cat Café Manager managed to achieve that flawlessly. This game proved to be more fun than some console games costing nearly ten times as much. I had a lot of fun developing and operating my cat café in Caterwaul Way. I also love the diversity that the devs included in this game, it just shows how much heart and attention to detail was put into making this game. Cat Café Manager is a great way to unwind at the end of a long day thanks to the friendly Regulars, a brief heartwarming story, and upbeat music.”

Launch Window“Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Nintendo Switch is an amazing port. You get to relive the moments and space adventures of Starkiller and his motley crew in a much cleaner and sharper version of what the Wii offered.”

Late Review“Overall, Security Breach is a good game to pick up for both seasoned fans and newcomers alike for its visuals, ambiance, and overall thrilling gameplay whose tension will keep you alert throughout the gameplay.”

Late Review“Overall, Music Racer Ultimate is just an average game, but as a rhythm game, it depends mostly on the player whether or not they want to try something different from the indie scene. From my point of view, the game feels lacking and will need a huge amount of improvement to appeal to a larger audience.”

Launch Window“Overall, Super Robot Wars 30 is worth the price of admission and JRPG fans will love the content it has to offer. The story, animation, gameplay, and setting prove that this game is worth celebrating 30 years of the franchise. For those who wish to play this game, they can start first playing the DEMO in either the PS4 or Nintendo Switch to get used to the game’s system and more. Super Robot Wars 30 has shown many, including myself, what it means to be a major gaming franchise for BANDAI NAMCO.”

Launch Window“Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition is a very good game, objectively. It is an absolute treat for seasoned veterans, and there is enough intrigue here that’ll satisfy new comers to the genre. The game has plenty of content and a story of survival with plenty of moments of self-doubt and revelations. But the game itself doesn’t run well on PS4. And that’s unfortunate. Only time will tell if patches can improve on the experience.”

Launch Window“Alongside its more gruesome moments in the uncensored version, yet lacking in extra content in the normal version, it’s hard to give a high recommendation. Succubus is enjoyable, but not deep, with entertaining elements, but ultimately becomes boring over long play sessions.”
