The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a thought-provoking narrative game that masterfully explores themes of choice and free will through clever humor and unique endings. While the expansion offers new content, some find it underwhelming, and the pacing can be slow at times. Despite a few less polished moments and a lack of traditional mechanics, the game's engaging storytelling and absurdist themes make it a distinct experience that captivates players.

Police Shootout features an engaging atmosphere and allows various approaches to gameplay, but suffers from repetitive missions and a cliché story. While its turn-based mechanic offers a unique twist, many find it cumbersome, and the graphics, while decent, aren't groundbreaking. The short length and basic character portrayals often leave players wanting more from their experience.

The Walking Zombie 2 almost comes close to being a really fun game. The biggest mistake was to taking itself too seriously. The game is unintentionally funny and often seems like it is a game for children. While there is still some fun to be had with this game, the absolutely horrendous UI design combined with all of the microtransactions make any interaction with the character menu a dreaded chore.

Postal: Brain Damaged provides plenty of laughs with the wild selection of weapons and your ability to urinate on anything at a moment's notice. Jokes aside, while the combat is fast-paced and fun, like many retro shooters, the levels just feel a bit dull. While the initial suburbs level gives you a feeling that this may be something a little different, it quickly jumps back to the generic sewers and grimy old buildings that we saw far too many 2000s-era shooters rely on. Combined with a constant lack of ammo, you never really get to do the kind of blasting you would like.

Soda Crisis has all the makings of an epic, modern tribute to some classic action side scrollers like Metal Slug. Instead of building a bigger, badder experience, you will get some slick controls and high octane combat smushed into tiny levels that never work together to build a larger picture. Soda crisis is just a series of mini levels, no better than the likes of Angry Birds but is presented with the guise of a fully fleshed-out action-adventure. Once you get stuck into the meat, you will find there is very little on offer here after the first 30 minutes.

Deadcraft is not a bad game but because it tries to do so much and does it all to a bare minimum, there is very little that is going to impress you. Everything just feels so basic and many mechanics feel like they are implemented just enough to tick a box but not enough to provide the player with anything new and exciting. At its core, Deadcraft is just a grind fest from start to finish with nothing noteworthy to entertain you along the way.

For an early access game, we cant expect The Anacrusis to be perfect. The Jetsons themed retro-futuristic setting is brimming with potential, none of which is used effectively. The bland characters fit right in with the bland soundtrack and story. It feels as though the strength came from the theme and when it came to designing the rest of the game, everyone ran out of ideas. It's a swing and a miss, quite a shame when the potential was there but could not be realised.

Doctor Who: Edge of Reality had the potential to be a really good game. The actual actors behind the doctors were on board to do the voice work. The story had a strong premise and there are 100s if not 1000s of episodes of Doctor Who to draw inspiration from. What we ended up with was a massively rushed, half baked experience that tried to cram as many classic Doctor Who references into a game that has no mechanics to make any use of it. The story is strung together so incoherently where you save the universe by solving a few puzzles and things just happen to work out in your favour.

While Edge of Time is not perfect, there isn’t anything in this game to be overly critical about. It does a fairly good job at giving you an authentic feeling Doctor Who experience. There are some silly plot holes but nothing to ruin the experience. The sonic screwdriver plays a big part the TV series, but is not used to the same extent in the game and is the biggest let down. It feels like Edge of Time was a prototype that was polished to completion. Far too many elements of this game were not fleshed out enough to reach their full potential. You will still have fun playing this game, it is just a shame to see a perfect storm not end up with a perfect game.

Woven provides a pleasant experience with a nicely narrated story that will be very well suited to young children. While the technical issues are likely to go unnoticed by the target audience, they are enough to ruin the experience for anyone who plays games regularly. There isn’t much here that the average gamer would find enjoyable. With that being said, for parents looking for a game to introduce their children into gaming, you couldn’t find a better game than this.

Lightbearer brings a lot of new ideas to the table and manages to provide a highly humorous and entertaining experience. It was a risk to deviate so far from the original game but it has been executed so well that your laughter will make you love Nick Lightbearer so much that you won’t want it to end. The groovy style & setting combined with all the drug taking will give you a true rollercoaster experience with lots of weird stuff and lots of laughs. DLC often gives us more of the same. With Lightbearer you will get something completely now and highly entertaining.

Vacation simulator does a great job as a sandbox that shows all of the cool little things you can do with VR. If you have just bought a VR headset and are looking for games to play, this one is well worth picking up. Much like the narrative, this game feels like more of an experiment than an actual game. You won’t sink a lot of hours into it, but in the 5 or 6 hours you spend playing it, you will encounter a huge amount of the cool gameplay elements that make up VR games.

As far as rail shooters go, Dick Wilde doesn’t try to do anything unique or unusual. It has some solid shooting built on a fairly generic theme. The levels are quite repetitive and mundane, but if you shake up your play style with different weapons it will prolong the enjoyment quite a bit. Once you reach the end of the fun in single player, the online multiplayer will help spice things up but it can only do so much to cover up the fact that you are just playing the same 3 or 4 level designs over and over again.

Gun 'n' Stories delivers a fun wild west experience with a very unusual take on the shooting gallery gameplay style. Being able to hit bullets out of the air seems silly but it's a lot of fun, it is just a shame the game does so little to make this a viable defense. It is far easier to focus on killing than dodging bullets. With that being said, this is still one of the more enjoyable VR shooters. The story is funny, the weapons are cool and the difficulty scales quite well. If you have a few hours to spare and want a fun shooting game to play, this game is worth picking up.

I found The Elder Scrolls: Legends to be an enjoyable game for the most part. I found myself getting frustrated a few times when things just felt unfair with AI opponents. It does hurt the game, but with some persistence, it is always possible to win levels if you shuffle your deck a bit. The story and narrative elements to the game were a nice addition to the story mode. The voice acting was a nice addition that helped give the game a more professional feel compared to what we see with most mobile games. ES Legends is not a perfect game, but it is a good attempt at replicating the success of games like Hearthstone.

A welcome break from the more hardcore style of VR shooters. Blowing up fruit while having to focus on processing items on a conveyor belt is hectic fun. The visual style helps relieve any stress you might have from having to multitask like this. Shooty Fruity is light hearted fun that focuses in you having a good time rather than trying to survive. It is a fairly short game with some interesting mechanics that are a welcome change from the standard shooters we are used to.

A simple concept with a very clean design makes this game a nice treat to play if you are stuck in a confined space for a period of time. The gameplay is very easy to explain to people who would not consider themselves gamers and the rules are so simple that you will have no problem playing it with children. The lack of online multiplayer prevents this game from being anything more than a travel game. Although it is a shame, for the price range this game is a worthy purchase for those who travel frequently.

Overall Bandit Six: Combined arms is a fun game that is just lacking in content. It is a lot of fun shooting the turrets and blowing up everything in sight. It is a shame that there wasn't a little more variety in what you get to shoot, but as a relatively cheap VR game it doesn't feel like you are getting ripped off. If you spot this game for cheap, it is well worth playing. There is fun to be had in this game, just not too much fun.

Accounting+ costs around €10, which is fairly cheap. The game only lasts about an hour which is unfortunately short considering how much fun it is. I was very let down when the game ended because I was having way too much fun. I wouldn't normally suggest that anyone pay €10 for a 1-hour game, but this is definitely an exception. If you like humour that is rude and offensive, then you will like this game. If you are new to VR then you most definitely need to pick this up and make sure you play it with 2 move controllers.

Hardware: Rivals is a good game, but it feels more like a beta than a finished product. There isn’t nearly enough content in this game to keep you going. I’m sure this will change over the next few months with some new DLC, but you shouldn’t have to pay for DLC on top of the cost of the game just to get a “complete game”. The fact is that right now, there Hardware: Rivals is an incomplete game without much of a replay factor and any reason to continue to playing after a few hours of playing.
