Late Review

In short, Towerborne is an evolving experience that already in its preview state demonstrates a deep understanding of modern multiplayer game design. Its season-based structure, emphasis on co-op, and long-term progression position it as an interesting alternative for those who enjoy games like Destiny 2 but are looking for something lighter in tone and more straightforward in gameplay.

Towerborne is pleasing to the eye and has a beautiful soundtrack to add to its artistic style. With plenty of customisations, visually and physically, you will find no end of ways to stand out from the other players.

Late Review

Towerborne is a pleasant surprise in the Xbox catalog. Without revolutionizing anything but mindful of a glorious past unjustly buried or nearly so, it offers a neat and fun cooperative experience with great potential for the future. Its combat system is agile, its mechanics are well integrated, and its seasonal structure manages to maintain interest without overwhelming. There are corners to file, undoubtedly, but we are talking about a product that is still in early access and that offers a fairly long-lived ludic experience at a meager expense (if you are not a Game Pass subscriber, of course).

Late Review

Despite still being in Early Access, Towerborne shows great potential. The mix of beat'em up, loot system and RPG component makes the Stoic title a very rewarding experience, especially when played in co-op. If you are willing to tolerate the typical problems of a game in development, Towerborne may already prove to be a worthy title.

Launch Window

Towerborne is slick, chaotic, gorgeous and above all – fun. I have high hopes that with an eager community and the team at Stoic at the helm, listening and reacting, and above all working with that community, Towerborne can grow – from a unique and interesting game into something genre-defining, and proving perhaps, that new live-service games can succeed, even now.
