Late Review“Vixa Games invites you to survive in the cold and desolate mountains of Alaska in Edge of Sanity, an adventure inspired by Lovecraft's myths that tests your sanity. It's a fun video game that captures the Lovecraftian atmosphere very well, although as the hours go by, it gradually loses steam. This is mainly because you have to repeat levels over and over again to get resources, and because there isn't much to do in the camp towards the end. Despite this, the gameplay is solid and offers some variety when it comes to tackling different challenges.”

Late Review“The blueprint for a title like this has already been set by 2017’s Deadwood, so it’s disappointing to see Edge of Sanity completely miss the mark in such a way, failing to provide a competent horror experience as it chooses to ignore its strengths to focus on tedium and repetition instead.”

Late Review“With a campaign, which in its 8-10 hours of duration, Edge of Sanity doesn't get boring due to its great balance of story and gameplay, challenging survival, and diverse resources and survivors to find.”

Late Review“Edge of Sanity can especially initially appeal to fans of survival games with an admixture of horror. But gradually it falls into a stereotype. The result is not bad at all, it's just a shame that the game can't maintain the momentum it has in the first hours until the end.”

Launch Window“Edge of Saniy offers us a Lovecraft-style adventure full of monsters and puzzles in a remote part of Alaska. A title that is more about management than horror and works very well in all aspects except for the controls, which don't make the task any easier.”

Launch Window“In short, Edge Of Sanity is a great survival game that combines stealth, management and exploration elements, but it suffers from a certain monotony and frustration due to the forced grinding and a not entirely satisfying aiming system. However, the narration, voice acting and dialogues are of the highest level, giving the game a distinctive identity as a Lovecraftian horror with deep psychological thriller elements. The art design and audio department are very well-finished, contributing to creating an immersive and engaging atmosphere.”

Launch Window“Edge of Sanity is a title that stands out for its unique artistic style and gripping storyline, capable of keeping the player in constant suspense. The hand-drawn art, combined with the unsettling atmosphere and references to Cthulhu mythology, gives the game an original and captivating edge. While not complex in terms of gameplay, it demands attention and strategy, creating an experience that can be frustrating yet extremely realistic. Recommended for those who love survival horror games and appreciate attention to stylistic and narrative details.”
