Early Review“RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a fantastic revamping of the 2006 classic, putting it in conversation with contemporary ARPGs.”

Early Review“Raidou Remastered isn't the best Shin Megami Tensei game on PC, but its live-action take on a familiar turn-based combat system is as fun as it is fascinating.”

Early Review“Its compelling early story beats can’t save it from its repetitive battle system and lack of meaningful connections, and I came away from my experience feeling like this was a rare miss for a company that is usually so consistent. It’s certainly a weird choice for a remaster.”

Early Review“Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a wonderful retread of a forgotten classic, smartly polishing up its best parts and modifying its worst parts to make for an overall more enjoyable experience. Though the visuals are just 'okay' and the detective gameplay can be a bit plain, the action-packed combat, reworked demon fusion, and interesting story all come together to make for a gripping adventure.I'd recommend you pick this one up if you're curious and you think it may be up your alley. I've never played anything quite like Raidou, and it offers a very unique take not just on the standard SMT formula, but action RPGs on the whole.”

Early Review“At a time when Atlus is at its creative peak, with Metaphor: ReFantazio demonstrating its innovative potential and Persona cementing its position as a global franchise, Raidou Remaster arrives at the perfect time. It proves that Atlus's storied catalog is full of unique experiences waiting to be rediscovered.”

Early Review“Raidou Remastered is one of those games that all Persona fans should pick up without question. There are a few too many niggles that hold it back from being perfect, but for many people this could just be one of the all-time greats, and the perfect game to tide you over as you wait for Persona 4's upcoming remake.”

Early Review“RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is the perfect example of how a minor classic should be brought back to life: without distorting its identity, but updating it with intelligence, respect and a healthy dose of courage.”

Early Review“All in all, RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is an enjoyable update to an already compelling game. Some of the bells and whistles are irritating and the fusion system could be better. But I heartily recommend it to fans of stylish action RPGs and occult mystery titles.”

Early Review“Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is another solid update to Atlus's long-running Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Raidou Remastered overhauls the combat system for modern players and includes plenty of quality of life upgrades. It's a nice addition for those looking for a more supernatural detective story set in the Tensei universe.”

Early Review“Raidou Remastered gives one of Atlus' most experimental PS2 outings a deserved second chance. Better described as a remake, a huge list of improvements, including a superbly reworked combat system, make this a must-try for the developer's modern audience. Raidou remains a uniquely weird and compelling action RPG, and this is its definitive form.”

Early Review“Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army is a game that, sadly, was forgotten by many. Thankfully, Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a great way to bring back this hidden gem from the PlayStation 2. The story is entertaining, with a good mystery that motivates the player to keep going and interact with a cast of quirky characters. The remaster elevates this with improved voice acting and visual style that give Raidou Kuzunoha XIV's adventure a new lease on life.”

Early Review“RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army represents an unmissable opportunity to familiarize yourself with one of the most iconic protagonists of the ATLUS house, who unfortunately did not obtain the fame he deserved in the West. If you love the esotericism that permeates the Megami Tensai saga, this time you have no excuses for not making it yours.”

Early Review“While Raidou himself is a silent protagonist, he’s still given a lot of character in the way he moves and dresses. I had a great time unpacking the game’s wild story, and knowing that a sequel to this game already exists has me hoping it will receive the same love in the future – because I want to see what Raidou the 14th gets up to next.”

Early Review“ATLUS has outdone itself with RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. Middling story and wonky camera angles aside, it hits the sweet spot of monster taming and action combat without compromising on the complexities that make JRPGs captivating. Here's to hoping that ATLUS reinvents and reinvigorates the RAIDOU series, as it's a breath of fresh air for this Persona fan!”
