Launch Window“Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension serves as a solid expansion to the main game’s content, bringing challenging new endgame content and finally allowing players to break the level 100 barrier. Despite the interesting story premise and the fun interactions between characters, the progression system makes the journey somewhat tiring, which may disappoint players who are not strongly attached to the battle mechanics.”

Launch Window“Mega Dimension is nothing more than a small expansion of what can be found in the main adventure. If you, like me, thoroughly enjoyed your experience with Legends Z-A, you'll love being able to return to Lumiose and discover new mysteries. However, those expecting major changes and other new features will be disappointed to learn that the DLC doesn't introduce anything new that's particularly impactful.”

Launch Window“If you're looking to discover new Mega Evolution forms and catch brand-new Pokémon, while engaging in even more intense battles with some cool new attack patterns, then this DLC is for you. However, if you were hoping for a breath of fresh air and a completely new gameplay experience compared to the base game, you can look elsewhere. There's no new region to explore, and the city is simply a reflection of Lumiose City, which we've already explored extensively. And a story arc focused on the Pokémon saga that places even less emphasis on exploration isn't exactly the brightest idea.”

Launch Window“Mega Dimension is an expansion designed for those who truly became involved with Pokémon Legends: Z-A and want to continue exploring its world after the main campaign. It delivers new challenges, powerful Pokémon, and exciting Mega Evolutions, but without reinventing the experience or significantly expanding the map. It works very well as a premium post-game, although the price and recycling of ideas may deter some players. Still, for fans of the Legends concept, it’s a natural and fun extension of the journey.”

Launch Window“If you enjoyed the base game like I did, the best bits of Pokémon Legends: Z-A are still present in Mega Dimension. The combat is still engaging, the characters you live and work with are still endearing, and the new Pokédex is fun to complete. This DLC, much like Z–A itself, feels like it will be a Marmite one.”

Launch Window“While maybe not as spectacular as the main story, Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimensions adds loads of content and Pokémon to the game.”

Launch Window“Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Mega Dimension offers a challenge for experienced trainers wanting to push those battle skills to the limits. Beyond level 100 critters for the first time? Check. It's tough and requires a fair bit of grind to get through the new Mega Evolution battles. Returning faces from the Pokédex and new forms are a joy to catch, too. Mega Dimension is ideal for battle enthusiasts and competitionists, but can fast become repetitive with little payoff to really keep pushing through once the favourites have been caught.”

Launch Window“Overall, the Pokémon DLC is good. It offers solid additional content and adds many new Pokémon to the game. The mechanic of crafting Donuts to obtain different bonuses is fun, and exploring Hyperspace in search of items—and especially Pokémon—is very cool. For fans of the franchise, this new content delivers a very interesting experience. Now, setting aside my fanboy side and speaking more objectively: the DLC is not worth the price. If it had a price closer to what we saw in the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, then it would be more aligned with what it actually offers. But, at the current price, the cost-benefit ratio doesn't hold up.”

Launch Window“Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension does a lot right, bringing a decent amount of new side content and returning Pokémon into the mix alongside great new Mega forms and a pleasantly refined system for finding Shinies. The story lags a bit, but the total package is still worth your time.”

Launch Window“Mega Dimension is a DLC clearly focused on the endgame, designed for those who want to continue enjoying Pokémon Legends: Z-A after the credits roll. It offers more challenge, more Pokémon, and a solid, system-based structure, albeit at the cost of some repetition.”

Launch Window“Mega Dimension adds a lot of content for players who already enjoy Pokémon Legends: Z-A. There are more Pokémon to collect, new Mega Evolutions, and a boost in difficulty that keeps things challenging. Its story and setting don’t offer much that’s new, and many of the base game’s characters don’t get much time in the sun. For players who loved the original, there’s plenty here to enjoy and experiment with, but if the base game didn’t grab you, this DLC isn’t likely to change that.”
