Arknights: Endfield feels more like a modern JRPG than a usual mobile-first gacha game, especially on PC, where the resolutions are higher. and the frame pacing is smoother. Sound design is another important part.

Arknights: Endfield is a fresh take on a gacha game that tries to divert expectations with factory-building, but never quite breaks the wheel.

Arknights: Endfield is a very good game, but unfortunately, the initial pace is quite slow. If you can get through the tedious first two hours, you'll find yourself playing a great RPG with an automation theme. At times, you might even forget that this is a gacha game, because it's so enjoyable in this regard that it doesn't push these elements to the forefront.

Familiar yet different, Arknights: Endfield's introduction of automation takes this open world gacha in an unusually compelling direction. While its eye-rolling reliance on proper nouns and lore make its sci-fi plot less compelling than it could be, a strong battle system and outstanding PS5 optimisation give this live service the best possible start.

One of the most beautiful gacha games, and a surprisingly successful attempt to mimic games like Satisfactory. It's a shame the slow start and unfair gacha system might put some players off.

Arknights: Endfield has the makings to be one of 2026's standout titles—a decent story that has potential, multiple engaging gameplay mechanics, a vibrant world to explore, and solid audio and visual design. Aside from the gacha system that not many people may be used to, it deserves high marks everywhere else. Its future is bright, and they can only keep going up from here.

Arknights: Endfield is a methodical, system-driven evolution that rewards strategic thinking and long-term planning. Its ambition, cohesion, and restraint position it as one of the most compelling tactical action hybrids in modern design.

In the end, Arknights: Endfield feels like a game made with quiet confidence. It’s dense, occasionally stubborn, and absolutely uninterested in chasing mass appeal. That won’t work for everyone, and it doesn’t try to. But for players willing to meet it on its own terms, Endfield offers a richly atmospheric, mechanically engaging experience that feels rare in the free-to-play space. It’s flawed, sometimes frustrating, and often brilliant, a game that knows exactly what it wants to be, even if it makes you work a little to appreciate it. As with every GaaS, however, especially the Gacha-based ones, its survival is contingent on future content and on whether the systems implemented, both present and future, feel fair to the burgeoning playerbase.

Arknights: Endfield is an anime-style RPG that skillfully blends adventure, action, and factory simulation into a cohesive whole. Its distinctive art direction balances realistic textures with stylized characters, while strategic combat, well-structured building and production systems, and solid optimization come together without any obvious weak points.

Arknights: Endfield is unlike anything else in the market, even if the sweeping premise feels admittedly low-key due to the writing, and combat desperately needs more depth.

Arknights: Endfield is a solid game. It has fun combat, a robust building system, expansive environments to explore, and is a visual treat to look at. Unfortunately, it’s held back by its work-in-progress nature and gacha mechanics. If you’re looking for a free game to play with fun gameplay and nice visuals, I think this is the game for you. Arknights: Endfield has tons of room for growth and a lot of potential, so I look forward to seeing how it proceeds from now on.

Arknights: Endfield is a fantastic free-to-play game. It is still beholden to some of the hangups of a gacha game, with progress gates and luck of the draw dictating your main team.

Arknights: Endfield tries to bring something new to the genre, and after a slow start, its unique take blending factory management alongside a more traditional Gacha is an interesting one.

Arknights Endfield is a genuinely exciting showing from Hypergryph, building off of their original hit with a massively widened scope. Engaging combat, beautiful locales, and the satisfaction of building a working facility clash with the same sins every Gacha has to commit to keep themselves profitable. If you can appreciate the gradual satisfaction of grinding or watching a factory work, Endfield might just be your newest obsession.

Arknights: Endfield is a unique beast. It is a very fun game that I found very hard to play. I do want to reiterate that I like this game. The best part about games as a service is if what I found frustrating proves to be a sticking point for others, then those issues can and will be addressed. I also think Endfield is a game that can give you as much back as you want to put in. Engaging with ALL of its systems isn't strictly necessary. In that sense, free-to-play is a damn steal! I, personally, am going to try and engage my big boy brain and continue to play Endfield. I want to see where it goes. If its post-launch support is anything close to the effort that has been put into building this game, I think we're all in for a treat.

I can’t help but be a little disappointed with Arknights: Endfield. On paper, it has the makings of an excellent gacha game, and with some updates in the future, it potentially might become one. But for now, it’s a slow and often tedious experience. I can’t see myself jumping in on launch day like I had originally intended, because I’ve burned out on the experience much quicker than I thought I would.

Arknights: Endfield undeniably is a visual masterclass with an easy to learn but fun to master combat system and world to explore. However, it struggles with pacing by throwing tutorial after tutorial at you with its overly complicated base-building and factory mechanics.
