WindFolk is a title that we could define as "very nice" which, perhaps, has lacked focus and has had too much ambition. With two or three reviews of its main mechanics (improving certain aspects of combat and getting rid of areas on foot) we could be talking about an outstanding game. However, being a first film from a small national independent studio, we can only say that, as the subtitle of the game says, this is only the beginning.

Windfolk is a game so turgid that it almost managed to put me off video games. Painfully flaccid combat and boorish level design both serve to undermine any fun that flying might offer. The subtitle promises that 'Sky is just the Beginning', but after this showing I'm rather hoping it's the end instead.

Windfolk: Sky Is Just The Beginning offers a light, relatively short and hassle-free adventure. With simple and well executed mechanics, it brings fun in the flight systems, but a combat without much shine. Artistically, it has higher than low, while narratively it owes little to exploring the world it created himself.

Fractal Fall´s first game is a decent aerial "shooter" set in beautiful levels and full of interesting, yet undeveloped, ideas. Flight mechanics are ok, but gunplay is too basic.

Windfolk is a great game, with excellent flying, several gorgeous open environments to explore, an exciting and captivating narrative, and, on occasions, enjoyable combat.
