“StarVaders is another great example of indie developers finding new ways to combine familiar genres. By blending grid-based tactics with deckbuilding and wrapping it in a roguelike structure, it creates an experience that’s easy to pick up but full of depth for those who stick with it. If you enjoy thoughtful strategy, experimenting with builds, and games that respect both your time and your curiosity, StarVaders is well worth checking out. It may not be driven by heavy narrative, but its systems will have you coming back to the stars and back. StarVaders is quite simply out of this world great.”

“After playing the game for four hours, I was honestly done and bored. The grind to earn levels in Cinemaster Cinema Simulator is rather tedious in comparison to most sims. Like, not to sound harsh, but the game feels rushed and lacks any real creativity behind it. From the A.I. art, to the rather dumbed-down gameplay, which is there to drag hours out so you can’t refund it. I’d say pick it up on a sale as, sadly, this is one of the more boring simulations out there.”

Last of Us Part 2, multiple Resident Evil remakes, and the entire Dead Island and Dying Light Franchise — to name a few. Days Gone might be inevitably compared to those games, but its vibe and aesthetic carry it through, even if some parts of it come off as cheesy or even dated. It’s a solid zombie biker trek through the wilderness and does enough differently so that it deserves better than to be relegated to a Last of Us with a motorcycle.”
