Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition on Nintendo Switch brings together all the games and DLCs in a single package, offering the complete narrative experience of the saga. While it doesn't technically reach the level of the 2023 versions on other platforms, its atmosphere, story, and psychological tension remain intact. It's a clear recommendation for those who enjoy introspective horror and stories that unsettle more than they frighten.

Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons offers an entertaining reimagining of the classic series, combining bubble-blowing mechanics with dynamic dungeons and a progression system that adds some depth. Its colorful aesthetic and the inclusion of classic content add charm and nostalgia, but the repetitiveness of some levels and certain difficulty spikes prevent the experience from being entirely perfect. Even so, it's an entertaining game that can appeal to both veterans and newcomers, albeit with some reservations.

Stars In The Trash is an adventure that stands out for its sensitivity, hand-drawn art, and emotional impact. Its simple gameplay and leisurely pace make it a relaxing experience, ideal for those seeking something more contemplative than challenging. Despite its brevity, it leaves a good impression thanks to its coherence and the connection it forges with the player. While not without a few rough edges, this is a very solid debut from Valhalla Cats that confirms their talent for this type of experience.

Remastered International confirms that Minstrel Song remains a deep, open-world, and somewhat overwhelming JRPG, yet capable of captivating both veterans and newcomers. The complete localization and physical edition add tangible value and accessibility that weren't there before, without altering anything else about the core experience we already know. If you enjoyed the 2022 remaster, you'll find the same here, but in our language and as a collectible. If you're approaching it for the first time, it's the best way to discover this world and its stories.

Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal is a re-release that respects the essence of the classic and effectively adapts it to the Nintendo Switch. The freedom of the missions, the creativity in the assassinations, and the quality-of-life improvements keep the experience engaging, although the limited framerate, inconsistent AI, and some minor bugs do affect the smoothness at times. Even so, for those who enjoy stealth and planning, it remains a very enjoyable and replayable version. The portable experience allows you to comfortably relive the classic, preserving its character, but its technical limitations should be kept in mind.

This Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch2 retains the power of its story, the solidity of its gameplay, and the excitement of the original adventure. Despite the graphical downgrades compared to more powerful versions, its fluidity and portability make it a valid way to relive the saga. It may not be "the best possible version," but it's a more than worthy option for playing it wherever you want.

Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch lets us rediscover one of the most unique episodes in the saga, now adapted to a hybrid format with modern controls and features designed for portability. The story retains its intensity and humanity, while the gameplay combines strategy, stealth, and action in a balanced way, respecting the essence of the original game. New features, such as the upcoming Contracts mode and the free upgrade for Nintendo Switch 2, add significant value, and it's a shame they weren't available at launch. This version by Feral Interactive is a port that both longtime fans and new players can enjoy, with the typical technical compromises of Nintendo's hybrid console.

Toaplan Arcade Collection Vol. 2 continues exploring the legacy of Japanese arcade games with titles that, while perhaps not as iconic as those in the first volume, maintain demanding challenges and mechanics that remain addictive and rewarding even today. For any shooter fan or anyone curious to discover the rest of Toaplan's catalog, it's a highly recommended experience, although, as with the first installment, it lacks some extra content that delves deeper into the history of the games or the company. Even so, this second volume perfectly complements the first and leaves us eager to rediscover the magic of Toaplan in future volumes.

Overcooked! 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is a very successful update that enhances what already worked in the original version without altering the essence of the game. The experience remains just as fun, chaotic, and addictive, but now with technical improvements that make playing in a group even more satisfying. New additions like CameraPlay and GameShare elevate the experience, especially for those who enjoy multiplayer. For veterans who were expecting substantial additional content, it might fall short, but aside from that, this edition more than delivers.

Toaplan Arcade Collection Vol. 1 is an essential journey into the heart of Japanese arcade gaming, featuring classic challenges that remain relevant within the genre today. For any shooter fan or curious about Toaplan's legacy, it's a worthwhile experience, although it's also true that the presentation could have been better with a few extras about the games or the company. And best of all, this first volume leaves us eager to explore the next.

Sonic Wings Reunion is a solid return to the franchise, combining frenetic action, distinct characters, and well-designed levels. Co-op modes, character paths, and replayability add to the fun, and while the graphics aren't impressive and some levels can be a bit challenging on higher difficulties, the overall experience is satisfying for both veterans and new players.

Overall, this Beat 'Em Up Collection is a small time capsule that allows us to rediscover some of the rarities of the "me against the neighborhood" genre with all the modern conveniences. It's not a perfect compilation, but it's a very enjoyable one for those who appreciate the pixelated 16-bit beat 'em ups.

COSMIC FANTASY COLLECTION 2 completes the previous volume and successfully revives a forgotten saga of the classic JRPG. Despite some limitations such as a lack of quality-of-life options and some minor localization issues, the collection manages to convey with a certain charm the bizarre personality and unique blend that defined this franchise. A fitting conclusion to a series that, for the first time, we can enjoy in full in English and officially.

FRONT MISSION 3: Remake is a worthy tribute that recaptures the strategic and narrative essence of the original, albeit with a visual that doesn't quite shine as we expected. It's a must-have experience for fans of the series and an excellent entry point for those looking to discover one of the most beloved classics of the tactical genre.

Irem Collection Volume 3 is the second of five classic volumes from the Japanese company Irem. This new compilation includes three more classics from the Japanese developer: Mr. Heli, Mystic Riders, and Dragon Breed. The presentation and options included in the compilation are quite good, although some extras such as galleries or game documentation might be missing to give it more substance. However, we've already seen that the compilation's structure is similar in each volume, and we shouldn't expect any surprises. Fans of Irem and its timeless classics have a must-see with this new volume, and there are still two more to come.
