Carmageddon: Rogue Shift tries to take the popular vehicle-combat formula and bring it to a different genre. At times, it works and can be fun. Unfortunately, frustrating driving controls, response issues, lackluster AI, and repetitive race types and boss fights hold this game back in ways that’ll disappoint long-time fans.

Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers is a more traditional deck building roguelike that features battles and power ups. It just so happens to be a casino card game at its base.

It’s clear the team at Super Sly Fox has a passion for what they’ve built. The freedom you have to do what you want with your movies and shows will keep everyone coming back weeks and months after their first play.

With a deep and fun career mode, online cross-play, and enough modes to keep anyone busy, Monster Energy Supercross 6 is the best game in the history of the series.

Like real fishing, Call of the Wild: The Angler is a game that can be absolutely maddening yet gratifying at the same time. The game has fun fishing gameplay and what’s there is nice, there’s just not a lot of depth for those looking for a deep and fun fishing experience.

Rugby 22 does some things a lot better than any rugby game of the past decade, especially on the field. Unfortunately, everything off the field keeps the game from having any sort of replay value unless you are a diehard.

In its current state NASCAR 21: Ignition isn’t a game worth playing no matter how much of a diehard racing fan you are. You’re better off sticking with last year’s NASCAR Heat 5 until major updates are made to a game that should’ve been delay.

RiMS Racing has potential as a series, but it just doesn’t do enough here to make it worth more than a one-time playthrough

RBI Baseball 21 had a chance to be the best game in the series. But too many shortcomings take away from any improvement the game had over last year, keepin g it a skippable title for many.

For the first time in years, Monster Truck fans actually have a game worth picking up in Monster Truck Championship. There’s just no depth outside of Career Mode.

Monster Energy Supercross 4 is a good game with plenty of depth, but there are just a few things keeping it from being a top-level racing experience.

With the entire sports world at a complete standstill, people are looking for any way possible to quench the thirst for action. RBI Baseball 20 attempts to give players that escape, but it’s left striking out.

Monster Energy Supercross 3 is another good installment in the series. The races are fun, the tracks are authentic, and the modes are enjoyable. The only problem is that it feels like much of the same with no major leaps.

There’s so much potential sitting there with the series, it just needs some heavy pressure to become the diamond it hopes to become. Hopefully, with the hype the game has generated, it can get the investments needed to make a bigger step forward in 2020.

Axis Football as a franchise has so much potential to be a great indie series, but with so limited on-field changes between 18 and 19, it feels more like a lost year than anything else.
