Tokyo Scramble isn’t a bad game by any means. It’s very much middle of the road. It does look exciting at times, with some areas standing out more than others, and overall it’s a pretty good-looking game. Anne and the Zinos are well designed, and some of the tactics you use to progress are genuinely interesting. That said, the AI doesn’t always behave the way it should, and once you get the hang of things, the experience can start to feel repetitive. The story is easily the weakest part, unfortunately, but when your premise is basically “sinkhole leads to dinosaurs,” there’s only so much you can expect.

While I understand at the end of the day this is a kid’s game, the all around simplicity really shows this is a much “younger” game than a lot of previous Hello Kitty games. I had fun playing Freeze Tag Party when there were missions and challenges to do, but just playing the game as it is, isn’t exactly the most fun I have had with the Sanrio characters.

Overall, Slime Rancher 2 lost a lot of its momentum mostly because of the early access release and feels like it has a bit of a gameplay loop issue because apparently even slimes deal with inflation. It’s a fun game overall, with some fun improvements like the weather system, and if you enjoyed the original you will likely have fun this time around too.

While Train Sim World 6 is technically sold as a new game, the same way most sports games are, it’s more of an update. After playing the most recent Madden though, it’s clear how much more love and effort is put into Train Sim World each year to bring quality improvements from every aspect, making this update heavily recommended.

I wish I could say that there was a saving grace with the music. I absolutely love a good video game soundtrack, and prefer a game with an OST over licensed tracks for the most part. The OST to Storm Lancers isn’t particularly bad, but it’s not memorable. I suppose that fits in perfectly with the rest of the game though, below average, and forgettable. What a shame, this had so much potential to be a cult classic, but instead, just fell slat on its face at the first platforming section.

Is This Seat Taken? is a pretty neat little puzzle game that takes a bit of time to finish, but doesn’t overstay its welcome. There is a story if you’re into that, but it is a fairly shallow one just to fill out space while you’re in between sections of puzzles. It’s a great game to pick up and play between doing other things or when you only have a few minutes to spare, and a fairly short game all together.

To bring it around, Faye Falling talks the line of artsy, narrative, and gameplay really well. Much like anything, it won’t be for everyone. That said, if you like Undertale or Deltarune even a little bit, this game is more than worth checking out. If you like JRPGs, this could be a fun breather for you without having to go play an FPS or anything. It’s a beautiful game with thoughtfully written characters that doesn’t overstay its welcome. That’s what Faye Falling is in a nutshell.

Overall there’s quite a lot of fun to be had with Survival Kids whether it’s solo or with friends. It’s a lot less frustrating than something like Overcooked to play with your significant other, but it’s a bit more of a “game” so it might take them longer to comprehend exactly what to do and how to play, but still a better option for these kinds of relationships than something like Split Fiction.

I suppose the real question to ask is, did Breakout need this much of an overhaul from the original concept? The honest answer is no. First off, Pong-style paddle-on-the-side gameplay makes the perspective of the game really difficult mixed with the CRT view. Second, the scrolling screen is an interesting concept, but feels like a faulty premise overall.

The Sinking City Remastered does a lot to upgrade the original experience while maintaining its original structure. While the combat can be a bit uncomfortable in parts, it’s massively improved overall, but the real improvements come with the graphics. It’s almost shocking how much better this looks, especially right after playing the original version only the day prior. If you enjoyed The Sinking City, it is absolutely worth revisiting the game in The Sinking City Remastered. If you’ve never played The Sinking City, this is the perfect opportunity.

Overall, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic is a neat little game if the purpose is to introduce a very young audience, or non-gamers, to the world of multiplayer minigames, as the ones seen in Mario Party. If you are even just vaguely adept at gaming, you will likely want to fall asleep after a little bit, but let me reiterate: you are not the audience this game was made for. It is a great way to encourage those around you to play games with you, but you might want to push them onto other games pretty quickly after that.

Overall, I don’t really know who Disney Villains Cursed Café is actually for, as it utilises a lot of older villains that appeal to a slightly older audience, but has a very simple gameplay loop and feel that are best suited to younger players. My best bet would be Disney adults with younger kids, especially if you want to instill that kids lie and shouldn’t be treated as something special, thanks to Captain Hook and Maleficent. Besides that, this game has little return factor and, unfortunately, won’t really scratch the itch from any other game.

As it stands, Antonblast feels like it should do everything right. In reality, it feels quite hollow. There’s no real relatability to the characters. The game is fine and everything, and the way it’s laid out makes sense even if it does kind of hide levels from you for some reason. Still, there’s a lack of real spirit that doesn’t make it fun beyond just the fact it plays well. It’s really frustrating because when a game does a lot right, but still feels really bland at the same time. Just playing well at this point doesn’t make a game great, and that’s the only place where Antonblast truly succeeds.

In such a crowded genre, it’s hard to say that Yars Rising would manage to truly stand out, even though it did try its hardest. There are too many sections to either just didn’t fit in very well, such as the aforementioned lack of flow in the hacking bits, or just too much stuff other metroidvanias ended up doing a lot better. It’s not a bad game by any means, and it can be enjoyed if you’re a metroidvania or old-school Atari fan, but I can’t say it would be on the upper echelon of my recommended games list by any means.

I had a bit of fun with The Rocky Horror Show Video Game, but I think that stems mostly due to me liking the source material. It will only be enjoyed by die-hard Rocky Horror fans. It has its charm, but as previously mentioned, it’s far from being perfect. The visuals are passable, considering the aimed art style, and whilst the chiptune songs sound fun at first, they are repeated ad nauseum, to a tiresome degree. It’s a somewhat decent way to spend an hour, but that’s about all you’re bound to get out of this game. Especially considering it only lasts for about that timeframe, with no incentive for replayability.

I’ve always expected to have fun with a brand new Just Dance, even if it has been 10 years since I last played an entry, but I didn’t expect to have this much fun with this 2025 iteration. It’s a great reason to get up and move, as well as burn some calories. If you put the effort in, it’s a great exercise, and thanks to how polished, intuitive and well-optimized the game is, it’s enjoyable to play for longer periods of time. Get ready to feel the burn, because this is exhausting work. One that still manages to put a smile on your face.

It’s a lot of fun to drive trains, and this is a great game for anyone with any slight interest in trains or looking for something relaxing to play and might be done with something like Powerwash Simulator. There are enough updates in Train Sim World 5 to get excited about moving to the new game, and all previous DLC is compatible as well from my understanding, which is a massive plus side.

Overall, Fairy Tail: Dungeons is a fun little romp around for a while. It’s not a game I see myself coming back to too often as there are just a lot of Roguelike games that do various aspects of its gameplay better, but it’s still a fun way to spend a few hours as you search around for some of your favourite characters.

That is basically the long and short of it without going too far into spoiler territory. Five Nights At Freddy’s: Into The Pit is a great standalone game for anyone who’s into retro horror, even without understanding all of the additional throwbacks, it’s a fun game that pretty much all ages can enjoy, just be ready for jumpscares. If you are into Five Nights At Freddy’s as a franchise, get ready for a whole lot of questions that will never be answered because that’s exactly how this series works, but that’s just a review. A GAME REVIEW. Thanks for reading.

Long story short, we get it: some mobile games are cool and worth porting to a wider console-based audience, but if you’re willing to do so, you need to adjust many of its mechanics in order to properly fit within the appropriate playstyles of such systems. This is not a free-to-play game, and nor does it feature an in-game store, so I really didn’t like how frustrating it was to constantly hit a difficulty wall, only for me to feel forced to go back to previous levels to grind incessantly. The gameplay loop is really repetitive, and the difficulty scaling is a mess, but it works in small bursts.
