Launch Window“An amazing, older classic action game continues to be incredible despite its years, and it looks better than ever moving to modern platforms.”

Launch Window“Neon Blood opens with some undeniable potential, but it's too short and ultimately feels hollow.”
“Plenty is thrown at the wall, and just enough of it sticks, but it's hard to get over the idea of plucking monsters out of the ground.”

Late Review“Bears can do a lot of cool things, but they can't carry a story without a cohesive narrative or make bland management more interesting.”

Early Review“Card-en-Ciel spoofs so hard, it spoofs itself, and doesn’t have much left to give after that. There’s plenty of entertainment to be found in the game, but it comes at the cost of not having much to offer as a game experience. While hints of cleverness pop up here and there, they’re scant cover for the emptiness in Card-en-Ciel‘s soul.”

Launch Window“This roguelike heartily embraces trappings of piracy and life on the high seas that flips the traditional pirate ghost story on its head to offer more than appears at first glance.”

Early Review“It wouldn’t be wrong to label Fairy Tail: Dungeons as Baby’s First Roguelike, though that might be selling the surprisingly crunchy gameplay experience short. Veterans have plenty to dig into, even if they might ultimately breeze through it. It can also be an entertaining entry point into the niche roguelike genre, which can be an acquired taste. I wish there were more of it, so here’s hoping there will be someday.”

Launch Window“It works as a Hades clone with an IP that might make it more enticing for some, but an unfinished story and technical issues might make a disciplined spirit take pause.”

Late Review“An already amazing game gets a few upgrades, but most of all, it's a deserving second chance at life for a title that may have been overlooked previously.”

Launch Window“It's a little pushy for boasting about freedom, but it'll definitely give you something to think about.”

Late Review“Vestaria Saga II's elaborate story is at odds with its devastating difficulty, which is great if you're up for it, but many won't enjoy so much forced repetition.”

Late Review“Phantom Brigade does one thing really well that sets it apart, but that one thing is all it has going for it.”

Early Review“It mostly whiffs on its greatest ambitions, but the world is intriguing enough that I'd like to see more of it.”

Launch Window“It's wickedly creepy, romantic, and stylish, and it should have any lovers of narrative games under its spell.”

Launch Window“The exterior is old and rusty, but where it counts, the machine has the integrity to win the war.”

Late Review“An entertaining finish that decisively delivers the consequences of your many decisions.”

Launch Window“A legendary, ancient series is back and better than ever with more firepower and personality than Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Daniel Craig rolled into one.”

Late Review“These games are unquestionably improved in this package, but while they're fine, they don't do enough to build on the games from the first collection.”
6/3/2023
Launch Window“You'd think a game that advertises eating monsters would at least make for some bizarre fun, but the premise becomes trapped in a slow roguelike whose eyes are too big for its stomach.”

Launch Window“Paranormasight wants to put on a horror show but is too goofy to realize how scary it could be.”
