Latest: Forza Horizon 6

Geekinout.ptMay 14, 2026Score 80Pre-release Review

“For anyone looking for an open-world racing game that guarantees fun, boasts incredible graphics and offers gameplay that strikes a good balance between arcade-style action and realism, the truth is that there are no real alternatives on the market. If you enjoyed the previous instalment, Forza Horizon 6 is a safe bet, provided you’re aware that there’s not much in the way of new features. There was potential to better capture the essence of JDM culture, but even with these shortcomings, it remains a highly appealing game that will steal dozens of hours from you.”

“Forza Horizon 6 isn’t perfect, and diehards still have a wishlist. But when you’re blasting through cherry blossoms, threading Tokyo’s expressways or just vibing along a mountain pass while the soundtrack does its thing, it’s very hard to imagine a better place to be behind the virtual wheel.”

PCGamesNMay 14, 2026Score 90Pre-release Review

“Boasting a gorgeous map that's filled with delights, slick racing, and some incredible single and multiplayer events, Forza Horizon 6 has, for the most part, iterated for the better. Though lacking vehicle customization holds it back, it is a near-perfect celebration not only of Japanese racing culture, but racing itself that espouses the joy of being behind the wheel. It's a highly polished jack-of-all-trades fiesta, and very nearly a master of all.”

“While Mixtape embraces familiar conventions of narrative adventures, it stands out as one of 2026’s must‑play titles. Its nostalgic atmosphere and emotional highs are woven through a meticulously curated musical journey, capturing a vivid snapshot of youth and memory. The result is a masterfully crafted experience that pushes the boundaries of how games can tell stories within this genre.”

PlayStation UniverseMay 13, 2026Score 65

“Ultimately, at launch NTE just lacks sufficient content to keep it interesting past a few days of playing, especially the abrupt story end. What's there is decent quality for a free-to-play game, and you're not forced to spend any real money, as everything is doable through in-game progress. You can't go wrong with checking it out, but don't expect a huge RPG or an offering which meaningfully separates itself from the rest of the gacha pack beyond its city setting.”

“Call of the Elder Gods is a really well-designed puzzle game with great characters and a story that grips you the whole way through. It’s a shame that some of the plot developments don’t continue the whole way through the narrative, but it’s still a story well worth following. I can’t wait to see what eldritch ventures this team will send us on next.”

Eternal GamesMay 13, 2026Score 75

“Saros is a visually stunning technical experience that puts you in the heart of an addictive, relentless combat chaos. The game excels in providing gameplay that is among the best in its class, making full use of the PS5's capabilities to give you a real feeling of every shot and every explosion. Despite the fun of combat, the game falls into the trap of repetition due to the limited enemy types and the weakness of the Roguelite systems, which do not offer strong incentives for replayability as in competing games. Additionally, the story—which began with an ambitious scope—falters at its end. In short, if you are looking for a game to showcase your console's power and enjoy a solid and fun gameplay experience for hours, Saros is an excellent choice. However, if you expect more from the story or variety in enemies and Roguelite elements, you may feel some disappointment halfway through.”

Latest: Dread Neighbor

Indie Games DevelMay 13, 2026Score 73

“Dread Neighbor is a game that knows what it wants to be, and commits to it without hesitation. The multi-perspective structure is its most original contribution to the genre: five characters, five rhythms, one threat that has already passed through more lives than the player initially realizes. The progressive loop system holds up across all five chapters, and the three-ending structure – with a true ending that demands attention and resistance – gives the experience a depth that rewards those willing to look closely rather than simply follow the path. That said, the limitations are real. The progression is linear to a fault, and in certain passages the game guides so firmly that the scares become predictable before they arrive. The antagonist, visually one of the most effective elements of the entire experience, loses coherence in the chase sequences, where the realistic register the game spent hours building gives way to something less precise. These are cracks, not chasms – but they register. What remains after the final screen is the sense of having moved through something built with genuine care and a recognizable voice. ghostcase knows its territory, and Dread Neighbor, for all its imperfections, is a step forward worth taking.”

Latest: inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories

The Punished BacklogMay 12, 2026Score 55

“As an ASMR experience in shelving, inKONBINI works great. However, because it has the ambitions of narrative but fails its characters, it can’t hope to compete with narrative-driven shop games that weave story into the fundamental gameplay. inKONBINI is a peaceful enough game to simply be a chill vibe simulator, but it is also not interesting enough to be a shop sim. Fans of Japanese convenience shops will find something to love with inKONBINI, but for everyone else, there are many more titles (such as last year’s Tiny Bookshop or this month’s Wax Heads) that will better scratch the itch for a cozy store simulator.”

“Dead as Disco already feels like a game that knows exactly who it is. The vibe is excellent, the combat feels good, and when everything locks together on beat, it gives that exact satisfied feeling rhythm game fans chase. It is not a walk in the park, though, and that difficulty actually works in its favor because it makes the victories feel earned. Even in Early Access, this is the kind of game I’d keep coming back to because the style, music, and gameplay loop all hit the right note. With so much more on the developer timeline, I am DOWN for some more disco.”
