“Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred doesn’t just add more content. It fixes many of the deeper issues that were holding the game back. The new classes are fantastic, the Horadric Cube changes progression for the better, the War Table gives the endgame proper direction, and the overall gameplay loop is far more addictive than it used to be. More than anything, though, the expansion makes Diablo 4 exciting again.”

TheGamerMay 7, 2026Score 70Pre-release Review

“At the moment, Everything Is Crab is in a great state, but I think it’s missing a lot of content for more replayability and variation from run-to-run. I can see a ‘meta’ developing quickly, too, which will reduce choice even more. That being said, even in its current evolutionary form, I’d say this is one of the better roguelikes so far this year.”

“Mixtape is a remarkable piece of work. It is the kind of game that reminds you why storytelling in this medium can be so extraordinary when the right people are given the freedom to follow their instincts all the way to the end. Beethoven and Dinosaur have created something deeply felt, visually inventive, and musically brilliant, and Annapurna Interactive have once again demonstrated why they are the publisher I trust above all others to deliver games that mean something.”

“Mixtape is barely a game. It’s an artful escape, an experience, a coming of age VHS classic that has been converted to the interactive medium of video games. Gameplay is almost non existent, which is only one of the reasons that Mixtape will be divisive. The setting is the end of summer 1999 and might not be fully appreciated by everyone because all of the pop culture references, as well as the sublime soundtrack is mostly from the 80’s and 90’s. Mixtape is also short at around 4 hours with minimal reason for return. If all of those reasons don't dissaude you and you’re lucky enough to find yourself in the very small inner circle of the Venn diagram for who it’s is intended for, Mixtape has no equal, as it blurs the lines of game, music and film.”

“Despite the limited gameplay and slightly repetitive nature of wandering around rooms to click on objects, Mixtape is an experience I’ll remember for a long while. The sharp dialogue that feels real and stays the right side of grating, easy-going storytelling, excellent soundtrack, and supreme confidence to play around with the medium make Mixtape well worth tuning into, even if some will be put off by a perceived lack of things to do. I still haven’t really figured out if Mixtape is a video game, but I do know that I thoroughly recommend you give it a spin.”

“The single-player content can be completed in a day or two, but the online play is what will keep players coming back for more. Just like the source material, it doesn’t shy away from all the violence and gore, adding to the intensity of a match. The base roster of 18 characters gives plenty of variety for your team of 3, the gameplay is fun and chaotic, and the online play is smooth and solid. How long it remains relevant in the FGC, only time will tell, but it is a solid entry for the fighting genre and a strong first game by Quarter Up.”

Everyeye.itMay 7, 2026Score 75

“Neverness To Everness is perhaps a bit too ambitious, trying to do a bit of everything without truly excelling in any one aspect. All the game's components are enjoyable, but none of them really stand out, and you end up appreciating the variety rather than the quality. All of this translates into an experience that's certainly fun for the first few hours, but risks faltering when trying to sustain interest over the long term. Now it's up to the developers to succeed with post-launch support that can both add content and improve upon what's already available.”

The tether mechanic at its core tests your reflexes and brains in equal measure, and I found myself always on the hunt for the Atropa Blossoms. Between those levels, I found a lot of fun in interacting with villagers across the world.Perfectly paced, no one mechanic overstays its welcome, and it felt like it ended at the perfect time, around 10 hours in length. I'm not a completionist, but I can definitely see myself picking away at some collectibles. And if they ever drop a challenge level pack, testing my knowledge of all the tethers? I'll be there day one.”

“Aphelion is a fine action-adventure game. I use “action” loosely here as there isn’t that much action, but there is more than we are used to in a Don’t Nod title. With a solid enough story there is enough to get invested in here. But with game play mechanics that faulter more than they work, and a final third of the game that drags on far too long, it’s hard to recommend Aphelion to anyone other than the die hard Don’t Nod fans.”

For someone who grew up in 90s indie record stores, longing to hear something that would change my teen life, Wax Heads really cultivates an atmosphere of curiosity, love and respect for musical communities, and how much better music is when it involves human connection.”
