The Perfect Pencil is a beautiful artistic and psychological experience that blends exploration with dark themes. Any fan of Metroidvania games will find it worth trying and immersing themselves in its terrifying world, we recommend it especially for the fans of this genre the only thing that’s need to check out is the price.

The run is an interactive movie that gives you many choices to choose from throughout the game. While the acting and Direction was surprisingly better than most FMV games, it still has the same issues most FMV’s have, unnecessarily long scenes and an underwhelming story.. Overall fun to play and watch with friends, but still very forgettable.

A party game that falls short of nearly every core pillar of the genre. limited content, uninspired mini-games, local-only play with no online support, and persistent technical issues resulting in a forgettable experience with no reason to return after the first session.

City Tales: Medieval Era shows that city-building games can still shine with strong atmosphere, accessibility, and well-paced ideas. Starting as a calm kingdom-building experience, it gradually reveals depth through companion stories, flexible difficulty, and a satisfying expansion system. While not reinventing the genre, it refines its ideas, making it a great choice for both newcomers and veterans.

Death Howl offers an innovative blend of card-building strategy and grid-based combat with a soulslike system in a dark, polished pixel art world. The game focuses on resource management and developing your deck using enemy souls, in a perilous journey that demands careful planning to survive and advance. An exceptional experience that breaks repetition and delivers a real challenge for strategy game fans.

The game has a distinct identity and ideas capable of delivering a unique experience, but it falls victim to odd design choices, unpolished gameplay, and numerous technical issues that raise questions about whether it underwent sufficient testing before release. The end result is a game in need of significant improvements to be truly ready for launch.

Constance arrives in a year full of standout releases, reaffirming the indie developer’s strong presence. While classified as a Metroidvania, it stands apart from others with a psychologically impactful story, polished and enjoyable gameplay, and worlds designed like works of art. Its only drawback is the lack of fast travel between save points, and its length is relatively short for the genre.

Tales of Xillia Remastered is a perfect opportunity for newcomers and fans of classic JRPGs seeking an engaging story, dynamic combat, and deep character customization. However, if you expect a major leap in graphics compared to the original, it may not fully meet those expectations.

Winter Burrow is a cozy game full of warmth and delightful surprises from small character interactions. It doesn’t take much time to play, yet it’s the kind of game you’ll want to return to again and again, evoking the childhood warmth of playing with friends or discovering for the first time the joy of teamwork in creating something meaningful.

The Lonesome Guild delivers a moving story centered on loneliness and self-discovery, with distinctive writing that highlights each character’s development. The game features stunning artistic direction, making the environment an integral part of storytelling, alongside gameplay that smartly encourages cooperation and bonding between heroes. Despite limited resources, the small team at Tiny Ball Studio succeeded in creating a strong RPG with a unique identity.

Onirism offers a refreshing platforming and shooting experience, combining visual creativity with varied environment design. While it borrows elements from popular games in weapons, enemies, and side stages, it successfully blends them into a single enjoyable adventure. It could have been one of my standout experiences this year, if not for technical issues like poor controller integration, multiple bugs, and the inability to change dialogue language, which affected the overall experience despite the game’s clear passion and ambition.

Twinkleby isn’t just an ordinary community-building game; it lets you express your creativity in your own way, with a social touch through interacting with villagers and observing their activities based on available resources. Perfect for fans of calm atmospheres and artistic style, even players not usually drawn to this genre may enjoy its open-ended gameplay that encourages creativity without fixed tasks or level-based objectives.

Dreams of Another isn’t for everyone; it’s an abstract, philosophical experience more like interactive art than a traditional game. Visually and aurally captivating, it blends unique art direction with dreamy music, encouraging reflection on destruction and creation. It has repetitive gameplay, a vague narrative, and a 60 FPS cap. Still, it’s highly recommended for those seeking a philosophical, unconventional experience, with a reasonable price and around 10 hours of playtime.

Blood of Mehran attempted to revive the classic ‘hero vs hundreds’ style, but weak mechanics and poor technical and visual performance affected the experience. Still, it offers some enjoyment for fans of this type of game.

Castle of Heart: Retold is a second attempt to revive a title that didn’t succeed initially. While the team improved visuals and environment design, the core gameplay still suffers from repetition and shallowness. The health-draining challenges and curse add a unique idea, but execution falls short. The game suits those seeking a short platforming experience with simple mechanics, but isn’t for players looking for gameplay that evolves over time.

It offers varied, enjoyable stages and new additions that make it appealing to a new audience. However, platformer perfectionists may find some aspects less satisfying due to certain gameplay limitations.

The House of Tesla is more than just a puzzle game; it’s a journey into Nikola Tesla’s mind and his ahead-of-its-time ideas. Despite some issues with scene presentation and environmental interaction clarity, the overall experience remains enjoyable and rich in detail. Fans of classic point-and-click puzzles or those interested in the history of one of the greatest inventors will find it well worth trying.
