Late Review“Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered is a fun callback to the adventure games of days gone by. Players can easily immerse themselves in its unique, dark world filled with mysteries, but it is the exploration that will keep them coming back for more.”

Late Review“Rabbit & Steel is some of the most fun I have had with friends and solo! It's simple to learn but hard to master, with an addictive game loop that makes you want to try again and become better with your favorite class. It's cute, has amazing music, enjoyable story, really fun gameplay. What more could you want from a game?”

The subject matter is something many players will relate to in one way or another, and the twisted manifestations of the protagonist’s traumas will leave players questioning reality. With spot-on environmental storytelling and an intriguing underlying mystery, this is an entry that both fans and newcomers will not want to miss.”

Launch Window“Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is simply the game at its best. The 3.0 update added a surprising amount of new content and quality-of-life improvements that are truly game-changing. From streamlined crafting to improved controls and more, it would be difficult to return to the original version. While the Switch 2 upgrade itself doesn't offer much beyond 12-player multiplayer and visual boosts, it remains the definitive way to experience the game. Whether you are a returning fan or a new player, there has never been a better time to jump into the world of Animal Crossing.”

Late Review“Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is more than just a remaster; it is what the original title should have been. It contains double the content, introduces new moves and abilities, and refines the existing levels. While the original wasn't game-changing, Re-PAC is a solid linear platformer and a great callback to the "good old days."”

Late Review“The Imperial Capital Burns – Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse is a solid introductory chapter to the series. It features a compelling cast of characters and gives readers a glimpse of life before the BETA reached Japan, while perfectly capturing the horrors brought on by the alien threat. It is a must-read for fans, but it can also serve as a quick introduction for newcomers. Either way, this story deserves to be seen.”

Late Review“I can easily recommend Phasmophobia, even if you're a certified scaredy-cat like me. Playing this with my friends was some of the most fun I've ever had with a video game. It's easy to learn and has intuitive controls, and you can scare yourself silly with little effort.”

Launch Window“Shrine's Legacy is a pure love letter to classic SNES action RPGs. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel—instead, it offers a simple, nostalgic journey designed to transport both veteran and new players back to a simpler time. Best of all? You can bring a buddy along for two-player co-op.”

Late Review“Meg's Monster is an unforgettable and deeply heartwarming tale of a young girl and the powerful bond she forms with a monster. While its simple gameplay and RPG mechanics effectively propel the narrative forward, it is the overarching mystery and the charming cast of characters that truly resonate and leave a lasting impact.”

Late Review“The Grinch: Christmas Adventures is a very interesting game. While I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a solid platforming experience, I can recommend it to families who want to play through it together. At the very least, the full digital storybook alone is worth the price, and the hours spent playing with your kids are simply priceless. It is not a good platformer by any means, but the overall novelty can still provide some enjoyment.”

Launch Window“I Write Games Not Tragedies is a short story that has potential. On the surface, it is a story of the emo lifestyle, but in reality, it is a story of regrets and discovery. Not everyone will be able to relate to Ash and his struggles, however, and that alone is what makes it hard to fully recommend. The flashy emo art style is outstanding, and the foundation is solid; however, many might step away from the experience wanting more.”

Early Review“The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit isn't just a fun retro throwback to days gone by; it is a legitimate modern-day NES game that captures what made these games special. Drawing heavy inspiration from Mega Man, it successfully blends the series' classic gameplay mechanics with stages and ideas from other NES titles, and the end result is a game all platforming fans can enjoy. While you do not need to be a fan of AVGN to enjoy this title, it is packed full of fan service that will put a smile on your face, and the live-action skits are nice to see as well. This game is in fact an Angry Video Game Nerd episode in disguise; it's just you are the one playing it this time, and not the Nerd. Either way, if you are a fan of retro platformers, and especially the classic Mega Man series, then this is a game you will not want to miss out on.”

Launch Window“Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is a fun arena fighter that successfully blends the hectic boss fights the Ys series is known for with classic player-versus-player action. No two fights will ever be the same thanks to the game's vast customization options, and being able to play as fan-favorite characters is a real treat. The game will not be for everyone, but those who are fans of both series and are itching for something different to play should look no further. There is a learning curve to overcome, but once you climb that hill, you will be in for a great time.”

Launch Window“MEGABONK is an addictively chaotic and surprisingly deep game that appeared out of nowhere. While I've pointed out some of its current flaws, for a game this affordable, it delivers a massive amount of content and pure fun. The game practically dares you to break it, a challenge I don't just accept, but one I revel in. I'm here for the chaos.”

Late Review“The Devil is in the Details is a fun and unique take on the "spot the difference" genre. It throws you into a maze with dozens of objects to memorize, scares you with jump scares, sends ghosts and monsters after you, and often plays tricks to further impede your progress. To top it all off, as you attempt to survive all of these horrors, you still need to recall what changed perfectly, or else you fail and will be sent back to a previous checkpoint. The game is challenging as a memory game alone, but this added layer of horror is what truly makes it unique and a game players can return to time and time again. While the game itself may be short, its replay value is endless.”

Late Review“Enshrouded is a game that gave me a bit of a rough first impression but fairly quickly charmed me with its clever adventuring and fun decision-making for your character's build. The more I spent with it, the more I wanted to go back and continue my journey in the Embervale. Even if it can be a bit clunky as of right now, it is still a fairly priced game that gives you a much better experience than most open-world triple-A's on the market. It is impressive how much developer Keen Games has managed to do with a smaller team and budget.”

Late Review“Armageddon is just as solid as it was back in 1999 and has been made even better thanks to modern-day improvements. It has the ability to remain "the" go-to Worms title and is a must for fans of the series. It's a great place for newcomers to start as well, but don't expect to be a master right off the bat.”

Late Review“Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is a very unique game, to say the least. It takes the 2D action gameplay Inti Creates is known for and mixes it with that of a Metroidvania. The gameplay itself is fast and fluid, and the two main characters cover both ranged and melee-based playstyles. It can be played solo by switching between characters on the fly, or in co-op with a friend. Bosses are unique and challenging, but even the normal enemies can easily take you out if you aren’t careful. Transferring perks between picked-up items lets you customize your character’s stats to your liking, and unlocking new abilities is a lot of fun as well. Everything about this core gameplay is spot on and makes Servants of the Dark a joy to play; it is pretty much everything a fan of 2D action games could ask for! However, the rough edges are what makes playing the game a challenge at times.”

I’ve spent countless hours playing RPGs so similar to each other that I often forget what it's like to experience something new and unexpected. Artis Impact is both of these things, while also being familiar in a comforting way. It is a charming world with a main character I quickly grew attached to and an impressive amount of ways to interact with the environment. The social aspects helped keep me invested in this girl's life, and the ever-changing art style was visually pleasing from start to finish. The standard RPG elements were a bit light, as Akane became overpowered pretty easily, but role-playing her life more than made up for it. In the end, Artis Impact was a game I never wanted to end, and it had me jumping back in for a second playthrough once the credits rolled—something very few games have made me want to do.”
