Launch Window“Studio Rebellion has delivered a solid game for the Meta Quest 3 goggles. Zombie VR is a dynamic title with appealing graphics and well-crafted maps. The game offers atmospheric and dark locations that fit well with its design. The maps are also varied, preventing any sense of monotony. This is another solid game worth giving a chance, and if someone enjoyed the console version, they’ll likely enjoy this one too.”

Launch Window“Zombie Army VR is a VR game released in a crowded market of zombie shooters that fails to establish itself as unique in any way (beyond the VR aspect). The game lacks polish, and VR interactions aren’t really the best. The world looks extremely dull and can make players throw up even when they aren’t being gargled down by a bunch of horny zombies. Considering other Rebellion titles, I expected more polish, but that’s much better said than done. This isn’t a game I’d recommend picking up unless it shows drastic improvement with constant updates to the core mechanics of the game.”

Launch Window“Zombie Army VR is a generic shooter in virtual reality, lacking anything different to any of the other shooters out there that have already done a better job.”

Launch Window“There isn't much to say about Zombie Army VR. It's not bad, but it also doesn't stand out from the zombie shooter hordes, and it even fumbles the series' only truly distinctive feature, the X-ray killcams. It's a by the numbers zombie shooter in VR that might be enjoyable enough if zombie shooting if your gaming version of comfort food, but there are better options out there.”

Launch Window“Zombie Army VR has the potential to be an exciting co-op shooter in virtual reality and does a lot of things right, especially in solo mode. However, some technical and gameplay weaknesses spoil the overall picture, especially in co-op mode! Arena battles that are too long, unfair ammunition, balancing problems and frequent disconnections with loss of progress are real gameplay killers.”

Launch Window“Zombie Army VR then isn't going to set the VR landscape alight and neither is it going to bring untold masses into the sweet bosom of VR adoption. What it will do however is give you a nice, fetid and appropriately rotting slice of zombie meat cake to devour and you'll do it with a grin on your face as you chase high score multipliers and all the unlocks in one of the more surprisingly effective arcade style VR blasters to come along in a good while.”

Launch Window“It’s dumb, fun, and soaked in blood. Zombie Army VR doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it does deliver five hours of solid undead-blasting chaos.”

Early Review“Zombie Army VR is a fun arcade shooter. Killing zombies never gets old, and the World War II setting is an entertaining mash with the undead genre. The game really gives off a Castle Wolfenstein vibe. However, some may find that the gameplay loop will wear out its welcome. The VR implementation is top-notch, with manual VR weapon loading mechanics that add to the challenge. If zombies are your thing, along with the X-Ray sniper rifle replays, Zombie Army VR will be right up your alley.”
