Late Review“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny does a lot right and uses the licence extremely well, but it is let down by weak level design and repetitive objectives.”

Late Review“Nicktoons and The Dice of Destiny succeeds as a polished "Baby's First Diablo," effectively translating beloved characters into distinct RPG classes within a crisp Switch 2 presentation. However, the experience is hamstrung by shallow mechanics, a punishing lack of shared experience for alt characters, and a price tag that feels steep for such a straightforward, low-replayability adventure.”

Launch Window“A strong, enjoyable launch that captures the charm of its roster and offers satisfying couch co‑op, engaging combat, and meaningful progression. Minor polish and balance issues remain, but the game delivers consistent fun for groups and mixed‑skill parties.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is the kind of crossover you’ll want to love more than you actually do. It’s ambitious and full of personality, but bogged down by repetition, weak writing, and uneven gameplay that never quite rolls in its favor. Fans of Nickelodeon will enjoy the nostalgia trip for a while, but as an RPG, it’s more filler episode than legendary quest.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny isn’t perfect, but it’s the pinnacle of Nicktoons gaming. If you’ve ever wanted to see SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, and Danny Phantom team up and basically be the Avengers, but for Nickelodeon instead of Marvel, then play this game. It’s a reminder of why we loved these shows in the first place.”

Launch Window“In theory, doing a thorough explanation of Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny‘s features, gameplay and presentation might not sound like the most exciting thing in the world. But this is a clear case of a game that is a lot more interesting and fun than the actual sum of its parts, thanks to its irresistible charm.”

Launch Window“I feel like Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is meant for a very, very specific target audience: you need to a) have been a big fan of Nicktoons about 15-20 years ago, b) have grown up and become a huge fan of Diablo and other similar ARPGs, and c) now have kids of your own that you’re trying to make into fans of both Diablo <I>and</i> Spongebob, TMNT, and other cartoons from that very specific point in time.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons and The Dice of Destiny successfully delivers a charming, visually appealing action-RPG for the franchise's dedicated fans and younger audiences. While its simplistic gameplay and repetitive quest structure might leave seasoned RPG players wanting more, the sheer fun of seeing your favorite Nickelodeon heroes in their fantasy roles makes this a worthwhile, nostalgic adventure, especially in local co-op.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a family-friendly fantasy adventure that I wasn’t expecting to enjoy as much as I did. For the kids at heart, it’s not necessarily as involved as a standard RPG, but for training their kids for a lifelong love of gaming, Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a fantastic place to start.”

Launch Window“The $50 price tag is only going to apply to diehard Nickelodeon fans. Casual gamers aren’t going to get a ton of enjoyment. If the levels had more going on, or the price was closer to $20, Dice of Destiny would have been an easy recommend. In its current state, it’s a good game at best.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny does have entertainment value to it, especially for a younger audience, but those looking for a nostalgic trip revisiting Nickelodeon characters might be a bit disappointed due to how basic the gameplay and levels are. There are also technical hitches that need to be addressed.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny more than likely won’t compete with the likes of Diablo or Path of Exile, but it doesn’t need to. Its goal is smaller and more focused: to give Nickelodeon characters a new stage to play on while delivering a lighthearted RPG that works for both kids and nostalgic adults. On that front, it rolls a nat’ 20!”

Launch Window“Nicktoons & the Dice of Destiny feels a little like Baby's First Diablo at times, but it's a surprisingly good take on the ARPG genre, suitable for kids and adults alike. Filled with familiar Nickelodeon characters, and packed with humour (and loot!), there's a lot to like.”

Launch Window“I'd imagine a lot of people going to this with '90s or '00s Nick nostalgia in their eyes could leave a little disappointed due to the overall simplicity, but this is an action RPG for the younger sect. More specifically, it's an action RPG for adults with said nostalgia (and maybe some love for Diablo-esque games) to play with their children. It's a serviceable dungeon crawler with a lot of love for the Nicktoons involved that is super cute and playful.”

Launch Window“Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny is exactly what you're expecting it to be, and probably more! With standard ARPG elements mixed with classic characters from the Nickelodeon universe, this game straddles the line between compelling gameplay and frivolous fun. A great blend of nostalgia and gaming!”
