Late Review

Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is an unapologetically wholesome experience that isn’t particularly challenging. It provides a brief burst of nostalgia for parents and some enjoyment for kids. It’s the perfect game if you’re just introducing them into the gaming scene or you want to build their confidence in using a little brainpower, figuring out some simple case-solving quests.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with making a game that children can play, enjoy, and even complete. The problem arises from the fact that Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is unable to make itself interesting beyond its mechanical capabilities as an adventure game, which aren't very good either.

The whole experience of Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club almost feels like playing through an interactive Peanuts movie, which fans will probably love! I can definitely see kids who enjoy the movies having a blast running around town as Snoopy, collecting hidden treasures, and solving cases!

Snoopy’s latest gaming venture is a fantastic game for children to test their problem-solving skills and make them feel rewarded. The game features the entire main cast of Peanuts, who are all fully voiced, bringing them to life. Fans new and old will find plenty to enjoy, too, from seeing their favourite characters, familiar locations, and actual comic strips to honour the legacy of Peanuts and its creator, Charles M. Schulz.

Undoubtedly intended for the younger or more casual set, this doesn’t break any barriers but is at least a good use of the license and has a little variety as well

Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is a sweet and gentle adventure that captures the spirit of Peanuts perfectly, but as a game, it doesn’t always work well. The puzzles are easy, the mini-games are boring, and the fetch tasks keep coming up, even for very patient players.

The game Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is a touching ode to one of the most famous cartoon characters of all time. It does well where it means most, with warmth, ease of access, and a slow pace that makes younger audiences feel welcome. It may have easy tasks and a repetitive structure, but the spirit of the game is still there. There's earnestness in every conversation and happiness in every little find. For families, it gives them a way to share an experience of kindness and wonder in a world where noise is common online.

It just made me smile and feel good about myself while playing, with its adorable presentation, great sound design, and easygoing gameplay. I have to take into account that this is, first and foremost, a family game: it’s meant for kids, and for parents to play alongside their children. In no moment did it feel challenging or complex, and to be honest, that’s totally fine. It never felt condescending, either.

Whilst Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is not going to tax the little grey cells too much, there is enough in the game to be challenging and enjoyable for the casual sleuth. Snoopy’s comments are as witty and amusing as the comic strip, and watching his little ears flap as he runs just made me smile.
