Late Review

As great as a hidden object title can get, Hidden Through Time is a simple recommendation for anyone that likes the genre, especially when taking into account the online maps, offering nearly endless replayability.

Hidden Through Time is a pleasing game of spot-and-find that will give you hours of head-scratching entertainment. With a growing set of online creations and a neat map editor, this is also a promising catalyst for a close-knit community. Even with the slight hiccups it has, the modest price tag for the game is wholly worth it.

If Where's Wally is your kind of jam, Hidden Through Time is a lovely digital recreation of that genre. With a cute aesthetic and pleasing creation and sharing tools, there's a lot here to keep the whole family entertained.

If you have read this review up until this point it should not come as a surprise that I really like this game. Hidden Through Time is a delightful engrossing and cute little game. For anyone with a young family to entertain, Hidden Through Time would be a fantastic opportunity for some quality family time in front of the TV and the Nintendo Switch.

Hidden Through Time is what you can expect from a "Where's Waldo ?" video game look alive : it's fun, makes time fly, and let us focus on some big dioramas through many historical periods. Let's hope that the map editor will give player reasons to come back again and again.

I had way more fun with Hidden Through Time than expected. Of course, if you're not a fan of the hide and seek premise, this game might not change your mind. But this is a bargain when you consider it's just $7.99 for everything it includes. If the map editor can be enhanced, this very good game would become a great one.

The hidden object genre is not for everyone. Its games are a niche breed, but for the right person they can provide a lovely, relaxing way to spend a couple of hours.

If you’re looking for a stroll down “Where’s Waldo?” lane, or you’re a fan of hidden object games in general, Hidden Through Time is solid. The experience is pretty mellow and is a nice reprieve from a lot of current games that can induce anger with their difficulty or be ultra competitive.

Hidden Through Time is an absolute gem of a game. The basic idea is simple but couple that with the scale of the levels and some of the obscure hints it'll provide plenty of hours of hide and seek fun. A must have for anyone looking for something a little different to get lost in.

Hidden Through Time is best described as “okay”. It’s just a simple pastime that, although somewhat fun and useful as a mental exercise, features some poorly designed hints and not enough levels to last for more than a few hours. Its replayability factor and overall lasting value will depend on how many people end up buying it, on how many of those will bother creating custom puzzles, and how many of those will be well-designed enough for other people to bother downloading and playing.

Early Review

If you’re a fan of Where’s Wally and other books where you have to scan the pages meticulously to find hidden items, Hidden Through Time is essentially the video game equivalent of this. It’s such an ingeniously developed game and this simplicity makes it the perfect Indie to sit back and relax with. It’s a great coffee break game to play between big blockbusters and one that certainly has a lot of scope to expand in the future.

This is a hidden object puzzler that does exactly what it says on the tin, and you can't argue with that.
