Late Review“Sir Lovelot reminds me of a bit of Super Meat Boy, but easier and less hair pulling challenging. It’s a fun addictive little platformer that will have players go “one just more level” until they reach the end.”

Late Review“Sir Lovelot is a great platformer and worth a look, especially if you are a fan of Super Meat Boy. It definitely gives a whole new meaning to "Love is a battlefield"...”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot is an action platformer following a heroic knight. His quest is simple, to save as many princesses as possible, and swoon them with gifts he finds along the way. In the pursuit of true love, maneuver through over forty levels and gain collectibles along the way.”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot is a game that I recommend, especially considering its low price and definitely in line with the content offered. Sir Lovelot requires attention, patience, sensory memory and reflexes, rewarding the player with a few hours of fun seasoned with a slight humorous aura. A title suitable for anyone who wants to try to get closer to the genre without jumping directly into that slaughterhouse, literally, which may be Super Meat Boy, but which perhaps will not be able to satisfy those who already come from those peaks that are unattainable for me now.”

Launch Window“I have a soft spot for old-school platform games, and I love the fairy tale theme. The only issue I have with Sir Lovelot is the lack of originality in the gameplay. Nothing felt new or fresh! It was done to a good standard, but it didn’t capture my imagination. I loved the tongue-in-cheek take on romance and the art style, but I wish the audio stood out more. I recommend it because of its theme and the good standard set throughout, and you can buy a copy here! Sir Lovelot is an old romantic at heart, he searches every corner of the realm to find his true love. Will he be successful, or is he destined to be with the first girl he finds?”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot doesn’t do much of anything new for a platformer but it’s an enjoyable time for the few hours that it will last you. The levels are just challenging enough to not be boring and completing the optional objectives is something you can do to get a bit more out of it. Sir Lovelot’s quest for love would be a bit more enjoyable though if the team took out the water parts and deviated from the formula just a bit more.”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot is the next entry in the tough 2D platformer craze, following in the footsteps of Super Meat Boy and Celeste. Set out on a cartoony adventure to save the princesses across the land. However, does it do enough to stand out from the crowd?”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot is a fun, well-designed precision platformer with a funny premise and tight controls. It never manages to platform its way up to the upper echelons of brilliance where the greatest examples of the genre are busy lounging around. But at £7.99 its hard to complain about that too much because you’re still getting a competent, enjoyable platformer that’s more relaxed and forgiving than something like Celeste or Super Meat Boy. Personally, I think that’s a good thing because Super Meat Boy makes me want to smash my computer and live out the rest of my life as a monk.”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot just misses the mark, the level design lacks depth and character while the absence of challenge will take away the willingness to continue playing.”

Launch Window“Sir Lovelot is a nice little pixel platformer that I ended up enjoying a lot more than I expected. The silly premise, cute graphics and forgiving gameplay just won me over and I found it hard to put this game down at times. It won’t suit everyone but for me, Sir Lovelot took a flower to my heart and I was sold”

Launch Window“Games like Super Meat Boy and Celeste have become instant classics since their debut. While Sir Lovelot tries its best to imitate them, it never really escapes from their shadow. If you’re looking for a quick platformer to speed through, then give this one a try, otherwise this is an easy pass.”

Early Review“So, here I am comparing Sir Lovelot to a game made eleven years ago. Had the developers made one or two slightly different decisions, Sir Lovelot would earn a place in my heart. Instead, I tore through the game in two hours – though this could be extended if you want to find all the hidden items and secrets. I felt deflated after every level. Like a jilted lover, Sir Lovelot did not perform.”
