“As much as I wanted to love it, I just don’t think Hydroneer is a title for me. From a personal standpoint, I didn’t especially enjoy Hydroneer‘s gameplay loop. Would an inventory system have alleviated this? Possibly, but then that would take away the one unique thing about the game. It’s just a shame that that unique feature isn’t something I clicked with. I can absolutely see why people would love playing this, and for these people, Hydroneer will no doubt be a blast. Unfortunately, for me, the unwieldy controls and slow early game left me too frustrated. There are other automation games out there that are more my speed, so, unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning to Hydroneer. For those reasons, I’ll be giving Hydroneer the Thumb Culture Bronze Award.”

“Everything is Crab combines Roguelike gameplay with Spore-like evolutions to create something that feels wholly unique. That doesn't stop the game from falling into the trap of having a bit too much RNG. It's visually interesting with a fun art style that showcases those evolutions well, but gets weighed down by some of the more pressing issues. All in all, Everything is Crab is a good game that is hopefully well on the way to becoming a great game.”

Latest Review

Chiara Roscini at Indie Games Devel

May 13, 2026 | Score 73

“Dread Neighbor is a game that knows what it wants to be, and commits to it without hesitation. The multi-perspective structure is its most original contribution to the genre: five characters, five rhythms, one threat that has already passed through more lives than the player initially realizes. The progressive loop system holds up across all five chapters, and the three-ending structure – with a true ending that demands attention and resistance – gives the experience a depth that rewards those willing to look closely rather than simply follow the path. That said, the limitations are real. The progression is linear to a fault, and in certain passages the game guides so firmly that the scares become predictable before they arrive. The antagonist, visually one of the most effective elements of the entire experience, loses coherence in the chase sequences, where the realistic register the game spent hours building gives way to something less precise. These are cracks, not chasms – but they register. What remains after the final screen is the sense of having moved through something built with genuine care and a recognizable voice. ghostcase knows its territory, and Dread Neighbor, for all its imperfections, is a step forward worth taking.”

Catherine Tran at Netto’s Game Room

May 10, 2026 | Score 80

“Infinity Sweeper has a relatively simple idea behind it so there isn't a ton to say, but it executes it fantastically and manages to be a refreshing take on Minesweeper. There's a decent amount of variety in runs thanks to the different passives, tiles, and traps you can run into. And if you want to see how you stand against other players, there's a daily challenge you can do where those three are set in stone and there's a leaderboard to compete on. This game manages to take Minesweeper, which I find a decent enough way to pass the time, and turn it into something that's a lot more interesting and quite a lot of fun. If you like puzzle games, you should definitely give Infinity Sweeper a try; I'm really glad I did.”
