“Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is an absolute triumph and an essential pickup for anyone with a virtual reality headset. It brilliantly takes the highly accessible, intuitive tactical brilliance of the original Demeo and finally gives it the narrative weight, permanent progression, and rich world-building it always deserved – all whilst striking a balance of being complex enough to satisfy long-time fantasy fans while remaining breezily accessible to newcomers. Whether you’re carefully plotting your next move as a solo tactician or accidentally blowing up your friends in a gloriously chaotic co-op session, every single hour spent around this virtual table feels like a memorable adventure, with Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked genuinely setting a new gold standard for digital board games in virtual reality.”

“Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road is an energetic, clever take on the survivors-like formula, offering something refreshingly different without losing the pick-up-and-play appeal that defines the genre. It’s fast, it’s frantic, and it’s full of personality. If you enjoy juggling chaos, building strange little contraptions on wheels, or simply want a new spin on a familiar blueprint, this is absolutely worth diving into. And for the price, it packs an impressive amount of ingenuity. If you’re burnt out on the genre, maybe give yourself a breather first, but if you’re ready for something lively, layered, and surprisingly strategic, this road is well worth travelling.”

“Although there is no deep story, your mission debriefs offer welcome insight into what is at stake, in this cyber war. At one point, the general will mention a city that used to be standing tall, now reduced to a battlefield, or a heavily fortified enemy base, with a tunnel underneath for you to traverse. Each location feels unique, the scenery changing with each battle. Although for the most part, these changes are purely cosmetic, they make the world in War Rats feel full and add to the atmosphere of each bloody battle. I really enjoyed how each battleground felt distinct from the last.”

Latest Review

Lindsay Scheerder at Play Watch Read

Nov 28, 2025 | Score 85

“Disney Dreamlight Valley remains a delightfully cozy game where you decide how to spend your time: farming, mining, decorating, or chatting with Disney characters. The new DLC, Wishblossom Ranch, primarily adds a magical horse system: you can create your own horse, ride it, and unlock familiar Disney horses. There are also new characters like Snow White, Tinker Bell, Cruella, and Tigger, each with their own quests and atmosphere. The expansion brings beautiful new biomes, from a wintery ranch to colorful areas with creative themes. Horses help with daily tasks, but the boost is temporary and can only be used once per day, which feels like a missed opportunity. There are still some bugs, such as mailbox crashes and stuck objects, but patches are expected. For fans of Dreamlight Valley, cozy games, or Disney, this is a charming and valuable expansion that makes the game even more enjoyable.”

“However, due to the game’s length (my playthrough took around 40 hours), even though I enjoyed the core foundation of combat, it does drag a bit on occasion due to the sheer number of fights you encounter. While Demonschool does give you plenty of characters and abilities to play with, as any RPG, once you settle on a team and kit them out properly, you’re gonna just use them whenever possible. The game does smartly force you to use certain characters in enough fights to force you to change your approach occasionally, which does prove to be a fun challenge especially when your party is split in certain stretches or the rare case where you’re controlling two teams in a fight, but it only does so much to keep battle fresh across 40 hours of play. It’s not a problem unique to Demonschool by any means — it’s a difficult challenge for any game that long — but it also cannot avoid it either.”

“Marvel’s Deadpool VR was not a game I was expecting, but it is a game I’m glad I got to experience. It is a truly fun experience not only from its gameplay, but also from its genuinely funny comedy. It captures Deadpool extremely well, and in some cases, better than the movies because it can just do things that movies can’t do. With the added immersion of VR, it makes all these silly antics even better. It does suffer from some pacing issues, and the sword combat could use some refining. However, this is definitely worth the pick up if you’re looking for a fun and funny action game to slice through.”
