Richard Dobson at TheXboxHub

Sep 28, 2025 | Score 50

“As a collection and a retrospective anthology of Bubsy games, Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection ticks all the boxes. The issue here though, and it is a fairly major one, is that the games weren’t ever very good in the first place. Even with the modern additions to make them palatable, these are bad platformers. And unfortunately, nice inclusions can only get you so far when the gameplay is sub-par.”

“Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is a technical and visceral tribute to the world's bravest first responders. Its standout feature is the sophisticated fire physics, which turns every blaze into a strategic puzzle. While the NPC AI can occasionally struggle with complex tasks and the mission variety thins out over long sessions, the thrill of tackling a massive warehouse fire with three friends is unmatched. It’s a solid, authentic simulation that prioritizes procedure over spectacle, offering a rewarding grind for those who respect the red truck.”

Rob MacIntosh at NookGaming

“Waning Flowers of a World Eternal - The Rainbow Appears After Flowering Rain feels like it’s trying to say something, but often can’t really get the right words out. It sets up for plenty of drama, but a lot of it doesn’t land. It has a handful of salient and thought-provoking parts, and the brief bits of levity are actually pretty sweet, but they’re somewhat in the shadow of a rather repetitious story and often unremarkable cast of characters that don’t do enough to make it truly earn its emotional punches. Waning Flowers is an okay but rather flawed nakige that doesn’t really excel or stand out in any particular area.”

“Little Problems is a near‑perfect cozy detective: warm, clever, and deeply satisfying. Melinda’s hand‑drawn art and the game’s gentle soundscape make every vignette feel lovingly crafted, while the handcrafted puzzles reward curiosity and careful thinking. The hint system keeps frustration low without diluting the joy of discovery, and the game’s humane tone turns deduction into an act of kindness. A few late‑game beats and the finale could use tighter clueing, but those are small blemishes on an otherwise delightful, memorable experience.”
