“When in full flow, Star Overdrive gives a great sense of speed and fun from its hoverboard dynamic. It's unfortunate, then, that any reason for the exploration is missing, with similar bland puzzling and the same rinse and repeat scavenging mechanic. With the exception of some fun boss battles and hoverboard mechanics, this one doesn't stick the landing.”

“Monaco 2 brings back the heart of the original and builds something smarter and more flexible around it. The 3D shift helps with clarity, the level layouts feel more readable, and the ability to swap characters mid-mission makes experimentation easier. It still leans heavily on co-op, but there’s enough here for those who prefer to go it alone.”

“House of Lost Souls wants to be a thoughtful exploration of grief wrapped in a psychological horror experience. In some ways, it succeeds—it captures the emotional weight of returning to a place that holds nothing but pain. But the game can’t get out of its own way. For every genuinely creepy moment, there’s a broken door. For every emotional payoff, a badly delivered monologue. This is a haunted house game built on a good foundation—but one that desperately needs more time in development, better writing, and fewer ghost screeches.”

For a good stretch of its runtime, that approach really works, the atmosphere is warm, the characters are endearing, and the whole experience wraps you in a gentle, cozy embrace.
