Boomer-shooter enthusiasts can now enjoy a gem that was only released on PC and 3DO in 1996. Despite its classic essence, Nightdive Studios and Ziggurat have included significant improvements so that we can enjoy this remake in the most comfortable way possible.

Migami Games, together with PQube and PixelHeart, bring us a classic, old-school Metroidvania game. We play as Mateo Lombardo on a mission to uncover the secrets behind the beast that is ravaging several villages in the south of France. Despite its classic format, with the occasional glitch in the controls, the game manages to captivate players with a story that gets better as the hours go by...

Fans of twin-stick shooters have a new game to look forward to from Ocean Drive Studio. This game has traces of rogue-like, which means repeating the same scenarios over and over again, progressively improving our protagonists with each round.

Although Starbreeze Entertainment and The Gang's title is billed as a horror game, it is more of a puzzle game with a gloomy setting. The idea of controlling the girl, but seeing through the eyes of the teddy bear, strikes me as very original. This forces us to play with perspectives, thinking about the placement of objects and how to get around them by moving the “camera” of action.

There are games that force you to work, and as a reward for your work, you receive peace of mind when you see everything done well. That's what happens with Spray Paint Simulator, the latest from North Star Video Games and Whitethorn Games, where using our paint gun can be a most enjoyable experience. Here there is no time, no story, and no other related entertainment.

Deer Dream Studios has come up with a very creepy and interesting visual-novel. Those of you who played Doki Doki Literature Club! will surely find the similarities quickly. We are facing a story where the main premise is to read, but what happens is so interesting, with so many mysteries that we will not be able to stop passing lines of dialogue.

Those who want to see their limits with the dissociation between both hands have an extreme challenge with Alva Majo's work. Its gameplay is concise and simple, yet complex and intricate.

In short, a game that despite its Otaku or childish appearance hides a good “me against the neighborhood” that is not just a tribute to the golden age of 2D in 32 bits. It has more depth than it seems, if you like the genre and you have the chance, you should try it. Besides, with all the cooperative gameplay options you are sure to enjoy good times with the company of friends.

VidyGames gives us an adventure that under my point of view could be classified as an experience. It is a short proposal based on the walking-simulator, but with a more gore story and puzzles in between. It could seem like a scary title, and although the atmosphere does produce bad vibes, we won't have any scares or moments of tension because someone (or something) is chasing us.

Ubik Studios brings us a point-and-click game that is very different from anything we have seen before. It is an introspective journey of Leila, a woman who navigates her memories, resolving internal conflicts she had in the past. To do so, she must complete several puzzles of varying difficulty. It's all great, with a beautiful artistic style, and even the reflections can leave a lasting impression on our hearts. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Mad Gear Games and Jandusoft reclaim the arcade nature of classic arcade games with this action title. Everything goes in through the eyes and ears, with distinctive characters and distinct powers.

For those who want to live in their flesh a soap opera full of clichés and stereotypes, no doubt they are in front of their game. This is a very direct visual-novel that does not beat around the bush.

Games Incubator wants to give a twist to games focused on cops. And although the idea is interesting and can capture the attention of many users, the result is not quite as expected. There are several options to face each mission, but the reality is that we will always end up drawing the gun and not messing around.

KRITZELKRATZ 3000 and Rainbow Arts bring us an “old-school” ship shooter reinvented for the occasion. Although it may seem like just another ship game, thanks to the customization that we can have of the submarines we will always be trying to adapt to each phase and try out our most optimized combat style.

Kemco is back with another classic turn-based RPG as we are accustomed to. The story that surrounds Will and his friends is well handled, with a lot of dialogue and can awaken the player's interest. Of course, in English. It's a pity that the combat system, despite having a couple of original touches, doesn't shine as it should.

JollyPunch Games wants us to slap each other in an exaggerated and hyperbolic way thanks to its fighting game. In 1 vs. 1 fights, we will have to blow up the opponent with blows to finally throw him in front of a death trap that ends the round. The fun of all the exchanges of blows is that they work as a kind of rock, paper or scissors where we will be lucky (or not) of each encounter.

Vergiu wants us to destroy the controller crosshead with a very fast proposal that forces us to change the direction of the rabbit in a matter of milliseconds. The mechanics are fun at first, but when you get the hang of it and know the strategy to avoid dying in the attempt, it can become a bit repetitive.

Lovers of classic gems have a small gift full of surprises in front of them. Although at first it may seem a title that drinks from Breakout, we will soon discover that everything goes beyond, collecting the essence of other timeless jewels and give shape to a very rounded title.

The changes of air have been bad for the franchise. Milestone gives the baton to Artifact Studio to make a game that in essence is very similar to the 2021 release, but technically lags behind. We do not understand how it is possible to launch a title that in particles, game modes, graphics and sound is below what we saw three years ago.
