Since the release of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door in 2004, developers—including Nintendo—have searched for the next big hit, and with Escape from Ever After, Sleepy Castle Studio delivers a charming yet deep RPG that lovingly honors its inspiration while offering strong writing, rich gameplay systems, colorful worlds, a fantastic soundtrack, and only minor flaws.

Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road is a light, quirky, budget-friendly jack-of-all-trades that shines in short bursts but repeats itself too often to earn knighthood.

Abyssus is a thoroughly solid roguelite first-person shooter that just fails to be interesting enough to fully convince.

Wildgate is a complex game to recommend. Its deep, well-integrated systems offer a unique multiplayer experience, but its steep learning curve, lack of matchmaking balance, and aggressive monetization make it a tough sell unless you're fully invested in its design.

My Friendly Neighborhood, a twisted love letter to classic survival horror inspired by Resident Evil, blends clever storytelling, brilliant level design, and sharp puzzles with slightly stiff combat and loads of silly cheats and bonus modes—making it a great horror game that even Oscar the Grouch couldn’t grumble about.

Centum isn’t a great game in the traditional sense, but its haunting atmosphere and narrative create an experience that lingers—though whether it’s worth playing or just watching is for you to decide.
