I'm a big fan of this game. It's just £15.99 and puts up more content, style, and attitude than some big-budget titles. I highly recommended it if you ever enjoyed Max Payne, just don't expect too much variety, it is after all, essentially a circular wave shooter with a badass gritty storyline.

Easily one of the most unique-looking games of the year, Phoenix Springs is an intriguing neo-noir adventure with classic point-and-click controls and a killer aesthetic.

Caravan SandWitch will prove to be a compelling experience for fans of exploration games. Cigalo’s intriguing mysteries and interesting inhabitants makes it a journey worth undertaking, even if it is an uneven one.

There is enough here for me to say that it is a fun game with a great number of events, trucks and trophies to unlock, and modes to enjoy even with friends online or split-screen! This is hands-down the best Monster Jam game I have played yet.

The Land Beneath us is a fantastic roguelite with a wonderfully unique combat system. I found myself addicted and did nothing but play this game for days. The base difficulty is just enough to provide a challenge, without ending up feeling frustratingly luck-based. You also accrue currency for meta (permanent) upgrades at a steady pace, which aligns well with the gradual increase in difficulty. An aspect many roguelites greatly fail at. Overall this is a very thoughtfully designed game with an interesting gameplay premise. Fans of roguelites should not pass this one up.

The Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece collection for Steam offers an outstanding portable experience, combining the beloved series' magic with modern hardware's flexibility and performance. The collection's performance is impressive, with smooth gameplay and extensive customization options that enhance the overall experience. I highly recommend playing on the Steam Deck and feel that it is the ideal platform to enjoy the series, whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer.

It's an OK experience that won't change the world. Seasoned MudRunners or SnowRunners may get a kick out of this for a few hours, but overall I found it to be pretty mundane beyond the realistic driving elements.

Wrapped in nostalgic packaging, Hypercharge: Unboxed is a casual and accessible shooter that would have benefited from some added depth to its mechanics.

With a running time of barely 3 hours, HFL is short but sweet, and with a little replayability by way of hidden collectibles, there is a little more you can eke out of it here and there.

If you're into this style of game, the studio behind it or manga/anime culture and are looking for a jaunt this sequel to 2064 may well be for you!

It's a faithful port of the arcade game which adds two extra stages, but it is massively underwhelming for anyone hoping for something fun to play.

I cannot express any more admiration for this title. It set out to provide comedic adventure action that draws inspiration from the games that the developers loved growing up. This title succeeds on every level in providing a well rounded and stellar experience that just keeps on giving.

While Inkulinati isn't groundbreaking by any means, its unique presentation draws you in. The title has a lot to offer to fans of the genre. While the game is not complex, it can surprise an unprepared player - its simplicity is deceptive. It's endearing, it's humorous and it's fun, what's not to like?

Gameplay and translation issues aside, there is a great idea here that is well presented overall, if a little confusing in its execution. Even if it's difficult to enjoy as a detective experience, the core elements that make up Chronique des Silencieux have merit and could easily be improved in patches, updates and possibly sequels.

A nice little bunch of games with some admirable QOL features that make it easier for this generation of gamers to appreciate the good old days. Despite the omission of any gallery, music, extras etc its still fantastic to see pioneering franchises available to all in 2024.
