Launch Window“Project Motor Racing is a game with enormous potential, but in its current state, it still has room for improvement. There are moments when everything clicks, when you're driving the right car on the right track, the AI is cooperating, and you've gotten used to the twitchy controls. In these rare moments, Project Motor Racing reveals its potential. For fans of console racing simulations looking for a comprehensive career mode and an interesting selection of vehicles, it's worth keeping an eye on the game and waiting for further updates. Mod support, in particular, could become a unique selling point in the long run. I'm confident, however, that the announced patches will further refine the gameplay experience.”

Late Review“Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek is a mixed bag of tricks and treats, as is typical for Halloween – only unfortunately, the tricks outweigh the treats. It's a game that knows and caters to its target audience, but at the same time squanders the potential to be truly great. With more modern gameplay mechanics, faster movement, and more creative puzzles, this title could have been a genuine classic. As it stands, it remains a solid but ultimately average adventure game that will primarily appeal to nostalgia buffs and younger players.”

Launch Window“Sleep Awake is a frustrating game because its potential screams from every neon-lit corner. It has impressive art style, a great cast, and a premise that should be genuinely terrifying. As a video game, however, it's underdeveloped. It's too linear, the stealth mechanics are outdated, and the story ends before it truly begins. It's a mood piece you play for the atmosphere, but don't expect it to keep you up all night. The biggest tragedy is the contrast between the fascinating world and the limited interaction with it. The Pain Eaters, the Mechanists, the totalitarian government—all these elements could have been the foundation of an epic horror saga. Instead, you pass them by like a ghost, unable to truly engage or fully experience their stories. It feels like you've only played the first act of a much larger tale, a teaser for a sequel that may never come. For those willing to overlook its mechanical shortcomings and embark on an audiovisually stunning journey, Sleep Awake offers moments of true brilliance. The psychedelic sequences, dystopian atmosphere, and hypnotic soundtrack create an unforgettable experience. However, for many, it will feel like wandering through an incomplete dream—beautiful, disturbing, but ultimately unsatisfying.”

Late Review“Zoe Begone! is a fascinating paradox. On the one hand, it's one of the most visually stunning and creative indie games of 2025. The hand-drawn aesthetic, vibrant presentation, and unique atmosphere are simply exceptional. The dedication and passion of solo developer Graeme Hawkins are palpable in every frame. On the other hand, the control issues and sometimes frustrating difficulty prevent the game from reaching its full potential. The "groove"—that flow state you experience in good bullet-hell shooters—never quite materializes. You're fighting the controls more than the enemies, which is fatal in a genre that relies on precision and reflexes. Nevertheless, for the right target audience, Zoe Begone! is an absolute hidden gem. The combination of visual brilliance, satisfying progression, and addictive high-score chase makes the game, despite its flaws, a must-play for hardcore shooter fans. At a price of around 8 euros, the risk is manageable, and the chance of getting a truly unique gaming experience is high.”

Late Review“Ritual of Raven is an innovative and charming addition to the farming sim genre, clearly distinguishing itself from the competition with its unique programming mechanics. The combination of magic and automation is cleverly implemented and enjoyable, even if the game could occasionally have benefited from a bit more guidance. The Switch version is playable and well-suited for relaxed sessions on the go, but suffers from performance issues that will hopefully be improved by future patches. For fans of the genre looking for something new and willing to overlook technical shortcomings, Ritual of Raven offers an enchanting experience with plenty of heart. The game proves that even in the oversaturated farming sim market, there's still room for fresh ideas. And the witchy atmosphere, combined with the clever gameplay twist, makes it a highly recommended alternative for those who already know Stardew Valley and similar games inside and out.”

Launch Window“Tales of Xillia Remastered isn't exactly a masterpiece. The flaws of the original are still present: the sometimes bleak and empty overworld, pop-in of objects, tedious side quests, and excessive backtracking significantly detract from the overall enjoyment. However, it also boasts a captivating main story, endearing characters, excellent dialogue, a wonderful soundtrack, and generally customizable gameplay. It's not a hit, but it's not a flop either. Ultimately, it's a good to very good game.”

Late Review“I usually enjoy building things. But in the case of Rise of Industry 2, the fun quickly faded. It feels like the game is its own worst enemy, with an ugly menu and controls that are anything but intuitive. The steep learning curve only adds to the game's mediocre quality.”

Launch Window“I really wish Edens Zero were a better game. As a fan of the source material, I was really looking forward to it. But the execution leaves much to be desired in several respects. The strange beginning, which gives away a lot of the story, the lack of enemy variety, the tanky bosses that pose no real threat, and the graphics, which could be improved: there are more reasons against the title than for it. The only redeeming qualities would be the minigames and the voiced dialogue. And that's simply not enough.”

Launch Window“It's a shame that The Universim runs out of steam at the end. The game definitely had the potential to be a lot of fun. But the small glitches starting in the Industrial Age, such as not knowing what affects research speed or not being able to tell at a glance which nuggets are unmarried, significantly diminish the fun. I don't regret investing so much time in the game. But at the end, I'm left with a certain sense of disappointment.”

Late Review“Death or Treat is a nice little indie gem that would have been perfect for Halloween night. The great visual presentation combined with a fitting soundtrack would have been a perfect fit for the theme night. However, it has to be acknowledged that the game is only fun in short bursts, as the grind is immense to eventually reach the end of the game. Nevertheless, it's fun to immerse yourself in the world of Hallowtown and will also appeal to fans of roguelites and roguelikes. Definitely a thumbs up from me!”

Launch Window“Overall, Ad Infinitum was an exciting and immersive gaming experience that certainly won't be for everyone, but its excellent production leaves a lasting impression. So, anyone who enjoys horror adventures that require a quick grasp of the story should get their money's worth. The harmonious soundscape underscores the overall picture created by German developer Hekate and conveys the sense of despair that must have reigned on the battlefield back then. I had a lot of fun with the title and will attempt another playthrough soon, and you should consider doing the same.”

Launch Window“Bubble Bobble Everybubble is a game that lets you gather your friends and family around the TV again. It's a straightforward puzzle game for young and old. It's easy to get started, but the sometimes tough time limit means there's plenty of potential for repeat play if you want to earn three stars on every level. With a total of 270 levels, the game is also comprehensive enough to keep you entertained for a long time. Nothing stands in the way of many fun game nights.”

Late Review“It's not as if the developers at Milestone aren't idle. This year's motocross offshoot, Monster Energy Supercross 6, also features some worthwhile new features, such as a slightly more engaging career mode, cross-play in multiplayer, and a significantly larger "playground" for practicing your skills. The new Rhythm Attack mode, in which you duel with another rider, is also a worthwhile expansion of the gameplay. I was particularly excited that you can now finally modify and customize your bike down to the last detail. The coherent overall package makes this a definite purchase for motorsport fans!”

Late Review“Lemon Cake is generally a fun game, but not a relaxing one. You have to take care of everything and keep track of it, which often actually feels more like work. The lack of a story adds to the fun, so it's better to play Lemon Cake in short bursts rather than as an evening-long game. Then you can have a lot of fun with it. It's just a shame that you can't work in the bakery with two people; that would certainly have boosted motivation. Otherwise, it's a nice game to play in between for anyone who wants to make a name for themselves as a hobby baker.”

Launch Window“As a longtime fan of this genre, I'm always happy when new or old titles find their way to the West. So also with Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha, where I already own games like Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II for Playstation 2. In principle, the collection is well developed and offers corresponding options where everyone who can start with the genre will have fun. But the lack of an online ranking for high scores and other goodies such as background information about the different titles or a sound test would have been a must.”

Launch Window“It Came From Space And Ate Our Brains is an authentic, old school, twin stick shooter that doesn't value story but takes action. Despite smaller tasks such as destroying a barrier or activating switches, the gameplay remains somewhat monotonous, which is reinforced by the lack of diversity of opponents. The level of difficulty alone is quite moderate, but with three friends the game becomes much more fun. But it will take some time until you get through the six levels of the campaign and if this gets too boring you can look for an additional challenge in survival mode. So the game is a nice entertainment for in between, with which you can quickly let the pig out in a convivial round.”

Late Review“Zombieland Double Tap is not a total failure. However, there are already plenty of Twin Stick Shooters in 2019, which are better in all areas. The level process quickly becomes dull, the joke of the film template is not saved into the new medium due to the weak setting and presentation. Zombieland is doomed, because there is simply no reason not to use one of the competitors.”

Late Review“With Northgard, Shiro Games has already proven on PC that they have created a fun and long-term, entertaining strategy game with the Vikings from the far north. The port to the switch was also successful, although a few minor flaws cloud the overall impression. In particular, I found the small font size exhausting in the long run, hopefully an adjustment of the size will be patched here, or at least a setting in which you can set it yourself. In terms of gameplay itself, there is little else to complain about, so that genre fans can look forward to a successful representative of the development strategy.”
