Project Motor Racing is a baffling experience: despite rising from the ashes of Project CARS, one of the most beloved racing games in history, this project managed to make everyone unhappy. From a fundamentally flawed physics simulation on both controller and wheel to some ridiculously blinded AI opponents, Project Motor Racing is faulty in the very foundations of what a racing game should be. The quick response from the dev team, with a couple of damage-control patches, is appreciated, but the state in which the game was launched cannot be forgiven.

Dear Me, I Was... is a flawed and very short gem, one that chooses to be more emotional to witness than fun to play. Taisuke Kanasaki's style and art are so good that they manage to tell a simple yet moving story without using any word, in what is a beautiful and unprecedented experiment in storytelling techniques. However, its Switch 2 exclusivity leaves much to be desired: interactivity is basically nonexistent, and its very plain puzzles are very generic as they don't take advantage of the console's gimmicks.

Edens Zero, much like Fairy Tail 2, is a missed opportunity. Once again, Mashima's works are not made accessible, and Edens Zero seems to be half-ready in pretty much everything: despite an engaging combat system and a faithful recreation of the anime's characters and story, its technical aspect leaves much to be desired. It's basically an empty game, with dull scenarios and little to no interactivity, and this makes this barely sufficient game hardly enjoyable by more casual fans.

Saying that this remaster brings back a genre classic would be unfair: the choice to use the script that is widely regarded as the worst version of the original masterpiece is very unfortunate. The redeeming qualities of this remaster, such as a decent localization and a good restoration work on the assets, are overshadowed by its main flaw, worsened by the continued use of Uchikoshi's name during marketing, despite him having little to no involvement in this version.

It was never a masterpiece to begin with, not now, not 25 years ago, but Never7 deserved more love. It's the game that started the Infinity series and gave an identity to Uchikoshi's career, and despite its core flaws it's still a shame to see it being revived with little to no effort: what we get is a mixture of low-quality assets, localization issues and technical shortcomings.

#DRIVE Rally is a little gem. User-friendly, stylish, immediate and entertaining, it perfectly embodies the qualities that made racing games famous a couple of decades ago. The magic of rally and offroad driving is condensed into a product that is still an embrional project, but promises plenty of growth in the months to come.

Mars 2120 is a title that suffers from very serious shortcomings in every respect. Its gameplay is dreadful, and the glance and optimization do not help. Its narrative side is nonexistent; the basic story is simple and does not capture in the least.

The 7th Guest VR is a title that rightfully belongs among the flagships of the latest titles in the VR market. It succeeds in embodying all the most modern and polished features that are being implemented in the development of virtual reality experiences and is capable of delivering a polished and complete experience, apart from a few problems. A must-have for those looking for a puzzle-based VR adventure

Hellsweeper VR proves to be a new milestone in the VR market, with an incredible movement/combat system never seen before in this media, with a unique degree of freedom and approach due to the wide range of weapons, abilities and combinations available. The only smudges are textures and models that need to be revised, as well as feedback of hits received from enemies that could perhaps be improved.

A Fisherman's Tale arrives on PSVR2 with a good porting that enhances Sony's hardware. The incipit and the basic idea are really good, but the game fails to take off making the gameplay repetitive for more than half the experience, with puzzles that are easy to solve.

Lila’s Sky Ark is an amazing journey that brings Lila’s adventure on our Nintendo Switch. Its colorful world and cool gameplay combine for a great experience, ultimately brought down from excellence by the unsatisfying narrative, culminating in a subpar Epilogue

In every moment of playing Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach it’s clear the willingness of the developers to give the saga’s concept the right creative and imaginative depth; unfortunately, an horrendous technical sector collapses much of the gaming experience, while a lack of clarity on narrative intentions and some flaws at the base of the gameplay contribute to make Security Breach weaker than expected in terms of enjoyability.

While having nice moments, with some adjustments made to the combat design, DOOM Eternal The Ancient Gods - Part 2 left us with a sense of indifference. The absence of a good narrative, coupled with an unusual final boss fight and flawed exploration and platform sequence, The Ancient Gods - Part 2 marks the lowest point of the franchise since the 2016 reboot.

Dread Nautical is a roguelike game that wants to do a lot of things, but it can’t do that so well as we expected. The gameplay is confusing and it seems unpolished, but we loved the minimalist art style.

The biggest Bethesda expansion. Wastelanders doesn’t bring Fallout 76 new gameplay, but focuses on adding content that offers a good starting point to the players who want to play the game.

Arboria is a roguelike that mixes dark level design with hack-n-slash 3D gameplay. The gameplay is fun, but the biggest problem of the game is that rooms and mobs are repetitive. It impacts the general experience that results boring after one or two runs.

Mutazione is a singular title that finds its pros and cons in this peculiarity. Those looking for a traditional adventure, where the progress is also subject to the resolution of puzzles or fights, will probably be disappointed.
