Wild Hearts S on Nintendo Switch 2 is an enjoyable way to experience the game on the go, keeping its inventive combat and co-op intact. Technical issues and downgraded visuals hold it back, but newcomers or players seeking portability will still find plenty to enjoy.

Operation Night Strikers contains four classic Taito arcade shooters with smooth emulation, solid controls, and plenty of variety. It’s missing extras, and the home console versions are sold separately as DLC, but the core collection still offers a fun way to enjoy authentic arcade action at home.

Grounded 2 builds on the first game with a larger map, faster travel, and smarter tools that make survival more streamlined. Brookhollow Park feels alive with new creatures and biomes, while buggies and the Omni-Tool keep you moving and gathering without the grind. The story is clearer, and mutations give you more ways to play. Early Access bugs are there, but the improvements already make this a stronger, more focused sequel.

Tamagotchi Plaza brings back classic characters in a bright, cheerful package, but it runs out of steam pretty fast. The minigames are fun at first, but they get old quick, and the grind doesn’t help.

Gex Trilogy brings back a cult platforming mascot with three TV-themed adventures and just enough modern tweaks to make them playable. From the 2D original to its two 3D sequels, each game keeps Gex’s sarcastic style intact, even when the humour doesn’t always hold up. The rewind feature, widescreen support, and bonus content add value without changing the core experience. Some camera issues and dated design show their age, but fans of the series will find a lot to appreciate.

Monaco 2 brings back the heart of the original and builds something smarter and more flexible around it. The 3D shift helps with clarity, the level layouts feel more readable, and the ability to swap characters mid-mission makes experimentation easier. It still leans heavily on co-op, but there’s enough here for those who prefer to go it alone.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S refines the puzzle experience with sharper visuals, a new game mode, and Switch 2-exclusive features. While it remains fun and accessible, it doesn’t add much for returning players. The lack of crossplay is especially disappointing and splits the community right from the start.

If you’re hoping for a tough survival challenge, you won’t find it here. But if you’re after a short, puzzle-focused experience you can play alone or with others, Survival Kids fills that role well. It might not hold your attention for long, but it’s a calm, cooperative break from heavier games.

Fast Fusion is a fast-paced antigravity racer for Nintendo Switch 2 that goes beyond being a simple tech demo. It features a solid fusion system for customizing vehicles, multiple single-player modes, local multiplayer, and strong visual performance. While it lacks online matchmaking, it offers good value and replayability for early adopters of the console.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition doesn’t change the story or core gameplay, but it runs better than ever. 4K resolution, 60FPS, HDR, and faster load times give it the technical upgrade it always needed. A second save slot is a nice addition, and the Zelda Notes app adds optional tools and lore, even if using your phone feels clunky. It’s not a new game, but it’s the best way to play this one.

Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition is a great example of a complete experience being offered to players at a digestible price. Getting all 3 games, and DLCs with the promise of more support like Arcade style contracts, it’s a no brainer to play this title on Nintendo Switch 2. While performance isn’t quite the same here, it’s worth having the game playable on the go or on the big screen. Just make sure you keep a steady internet connection if you are jumping in to Hitman 3.

Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit is a flashy, fast-paced arcade racer with bold style and a wide mix of race types. Its cel-shaded visuals and anime flair make a strong first impression, but the messy handling, stiff combat events, and overwhelming effects often get in the way. There’s effort and variety here, especially for fans of futuristic racing games, but the lack of polish and inconsistent feedback keep it from reaching the finish line cleanly.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O refines the classic fighter with rollback netcode, balance updates, and sharp visuals. Its strategic combat remains strong, but missing single-player modes and the lack of crossplay hold it back from feeling like a full upgrade. While it’s the best version for competitive play, it still feels like a temporary step before a true sequel.

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain offers a cozy, laid-back adventure with bright visuals and simple gameplay. Flying, delivering packages, and meeting island residents create a relaxing experience, but limited gameplay and repetitive deliveries hold it back. While charming, it’s best for short, casual play sessions.

Double Dragon Neon reimagines the classic arcade beat ‘em up with bright, ‘80s-inspired visuals, over-the-top humour, and a unique mixtape-based combat system. Its slower pace and strategic gameplay set it apart from other brawlers. Although the style and pace may not appeal to everyone, Double Dragon Neon delivers a memorable, fun experience for fans of retro-inspired action games.
