Just Dance 2026 is exactly the kind of solid sequel you’d expect from the world’s most popular dance franchise. While the annual formula is slowly starting to show its age, Ubisoft keeps the series feeling fresh with occasional technical improvements and a steady stream of new music. With 40 new tracks spanning a wide range of styles, this edition is perfect for house parties, family-friendly fun, or even a solo dance session.

What kind of experience is the new Just Dance from the perspective of a dance newbie? Well, first of all, everything is cheerful, lively, and colorful – which isn’t necessarily my cup of tea, but you get used to it. On the other hand, everything runs smoothly (at least on Switch 2), and the experience has been pleasant enough that I definitely plan to keep sweating it out on the "home dance floor". What bothers me more however, is the lack of imagination, especially regarding the game modes. It all feels a bit too safe for my taste, even though there’s so much potential to do more.

Just Dance 2026 has taken a very positive turn with the reintegration of Camera mode. While still not perfect, once implemented, it eliminates the need to hold your smartphone. If the developers extend this feature to older choreographies via JD+, we'll rediscover incredible fun and freedom while dancing. In the meantime, we'll be happy with this crucial return for the community, and with a game mode that, while minor, is still welcome. In short, it's time to get back to dancing !

Just Dance 2026 stays true to the series’ strengths: quick fun, a lively pop playlist, and improved motion-tracking that finally removes the need to hold your phone. The base tracklist is strong and varied, making it great for parties. Its weaknesses are familiar: little innovation, choreography aimed mostly at casual players, and the continued reliance on a subscription for more songs. Even so, it remains a joyful, accessible party game that delivers exactly the kind of easygoing fun fans expect.

There are some who think, “if you’ve played one Just Dance, you’ve played them all”, but I respectfully disagree. Between the new modes, fine-tuned returning modes, new song list, and the vastly improved controls and motion tracking technology, Just Dance 2026 Edition is an incredible entry for both newcomers and veteran fans alike.

I’m glad that Ubisoft listened to players feedback who were saying the series needed a bigger refresh than just an annual playlist update. The option to control the game using a smartphone camera and the new party mode are definitely interesting additions that makes the virtual dancing experience more varied. Still, it’s difficult to shake the feeling that the potential of these innovations wasn't fully realized. Just Dance 2026 is still a fine party game where everyone can have a great time, whether they can dance or not.

Just Dance 2026 Edition confirms Ubisoft's artistic talent but also the franchise's stagnation. The experience remains solid and fun, with a varied tracklist and well-crafted choreographies, yet it's essentially the same game as last year, updated with only a few minor additions like the Party Mode. The "hub" model could have breathed new life into the series, but as it stands, it feels more like a way to sell a full-priced DLC. The king of dance is still on the floor-but he's just dancing in place.

Overall I would say that Just Dance 2026 Edition is a solid addition to the Just Dance lineup. It stays true to the game franchises' roots while introducing fresh new tracks and game modes that keep the fun going. If you are a known Just Dance lover, it's an easy add to your collection. If you just want a game that gets you dancing, introduces you to new genres, and offers welcoming gameplay for all skill levels, definitely try it out.

I still appreciate that Just Dance is still around, but the year after year installments do little to excite when you really are just updating the game rather than buying something shiny and new. Just Dance is in dire need of a complete reinvention, from a ground-level UI upgrade to its deeper catalog finally being added. Just Dance 2026 is fine, but it’s barely Just Enough.

Just Dance 2026 Edition doesn't revolutionize Ubisoft's famous franchise, but it does introduce a couple of interesting new features. The ultimate party game returns with 40 new songs and the all-new Party mode, making for even more fun and chaotic sessions.

Just Dance 2026 Edition maintains the vibrant and fun essence that has made the franchise famous over the years, offering a solid selection of songs and choreography for all tastes, as well as significant technical improvements such as the use of the smartphone camera as a full-body sensor. The return of Party Mode and creative partnerships reinforce Ubisoft's commitment to keeping the game relevant and inclusive. However, the lack of significant innovations can leave a feeling of repetition for veteran players. Even so, the game excels in its mission: providing accessible and energetic fun for those who love to dance.

Just Dance 2026 may not bring major changes, but it hits the mark by continuing to do what it has always done best: bringing people together, putting smiles on faces, and getting everyone to dance. With a well-chosen music selection, simple mechanics, and tons of energy, the game remains an excellent choice for all ages.

This year, for the first time in years, Just Dance introduces significant changes that alter the experience, preventing players from getting stuck in a rut when choosing what to do in their sessions. There is still little choice for those who pursue a more hardcore style of dancing, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.
