Launch Window“"Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition" is definitely suitable for a few rounds of refined arcade racing. The controls are appealing, and the gameplay is turbo-fast and compelling. Unfortunately, the rest of the title is almost entirely below average, especially when it comes to scope and replay value.”

Launch Window“"Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor" is an excellent spin-off that captures the spirit of the original while taking a completely different approach to gameplay.”

Launch Window“"Henry Halfhead" is a short but very concise adventure we call our lives. It's not too long, the gameplay isn't overly contrived, and you can't really go wrong. However, all of this is also positive. The story fits the length of the game and offers a pleasant experience in a short playing time. The very forgiving gameplay allows every player to tackle the objectives the way they prefer. Henry, at least, has grown on me and has given me pause for thought more than once, which is wonderful”

Early Review“Thanks to a gripping story, good actors who give their all, and fantastic, old-school effects, this isn't a negative. If you don't like that and need more interactivity, you should definitely steer clear of "Dead Reset." On the other hand, if you're looking for a horror film with a lot of heart where you have some influence over the story, you should definitely get the game!”

Late Review“"Dorfromantik" may not be a game of incredible scope, but this is precisely what makes it a perennial favorite. The number of game modes and variants only indirectly relates to its scope. Whether it's just a quick round or an hour-long session, it continually invites you to immerse yourself in the world of villages and romance.”

Launch Window“Anyone who loves Metroidvanias, especially the classic "Castlevania" games, should definitely check out "Chronicles of the Wolf." The look, gameplay, and soundtrack instantly transport you to a dark, gothic, and monster-infested world in the South of France. Unfortunately, the game's running time is excessively long due to the game's backtracking, and the lack of save options only makes this more obvious.”

Launch Window“The duck detective's second case is fantastic, and it's simply a joy to be able to enjoy a short, crisp, and entertaining detective adventure with many exciting elements. The fact that we can now play Eugene McQuacklin's investigations entirely in German is the icing on the cake.”

Late Review“As a shoot 'em up, however, it only works to a limited extent. Because a large portion of each playthrough is randomly generated, the game is very difficult to learn. At the same time, it offers more variety than the usual side-scrolling genre representatives. You can definitely spend a lot of time with the game if you're willing to embrace this combination of genres.”

Late Review“The short playing time, the lack of replay value, the lack of presence of the mascots, the lack of a sense of horror, and the sometimes frustrating controls are just some of these criticisms. "Finding Frankie" laid the foundation for a series, and it remains to be hoped that future spin-offs will offer more.”

Launch Window“The gods of the Greek pantheon are front and center in “Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island”. They feel like real characters and it is a joy to get to know them. Unfortunately the gameplay is a very shallow affair that consists mostly of finding an item on one side of the island that you have to deliver to a god on the other side of the island. This can be very appealing though and combined with the great cast it results in more than one long and annoying fetch quest. Paired with the great visuals and so many very cute animations makes it a worthwhile stay on Ambrosia Island.”

Launch Window“Only after a few hours of play and probably unsuccessful runs through the Black Iron Prison does "[Redacted]" really begin. These first hours are tough and often even quite boring as you constantly expand your arsenal of weapons and improve your stats. If you make it over this barrier, you get a solid twin-stick shooter in a fun roguelite package. Unfortunately, the melee combat doesn't feel good at all. "[Redacted]" is not a new star in the sky for the genre and would work as well as it does in the end even without the relationship to "The Callisto Protocol". If you need more in a fairly saturated genre, you might make a much worse choice than with "[Redacted]".”

Early Review“With a length of about four hours, "Speedollama" is short, but still stretches its time. The core gameplay is entertaining and feels good apart from the wall jumps, but there is simply a lack of variety. Especially the coolly designed boss fights seem particularly lame. Nevertheless, it's definitely harder to invest your money if you're in the mood for an old-school run-and-gun shooter.”

Late Review“As a package Super Woden GP II is an absolute love letter to the last three decades of racing games. It offers smooth and fun racing as well as a ton of tracks and cars. It is old-school by design, with all its pros and cons. Thankfully the gameplay is as good as it is because the menus are frankly a bit of a mess and the AI of the other drivers is stubborn and destructive. Yet it is a great racing game for a low price from a clearly talented developer that loves the genre, warts and all.”

Early Review“Being a simplistic game doesn’t mean that “One Btn Bosses” is boring and simple. It has a surprising amount of depth and can offer an enormous amount of replayability if you’re into chasing highscores or the roguelike-mode. The campaign is a fantastic tutorial but the story and the presentation of it are rather lacking. It plays fantastic on a Handheld-PC and can offer fun for hours and hours if you’re willing to dive into the additional challenges of beating the five floors of R&D.”

Late Review“Fate Seeker II is simply overwhelming in most aspects. With 20 fighting styles that each sport an enormous amount of attacks and combos, a plethora of side activities and a main story with more important characters than I could count it is just a lot. But a lot of this works surprisingly well despite all of this. The puzzles and investigations are especially great as is the main story and its cast once you start to see how everything and everyone is connected in one way or another. Unfortunately the combat itself is mostly dull, the English translation feels a bit shoddy and the technical aspects are middling at best. And yet it is an oddly compelling title that offers an interesting look at a different type of game from China.”

Late Review“The core mechanics with the backpack are ingenious. It's not unique, and there are now several games with similar mechanics, but it remains fantastic. Packing your backpack as skillfully as possible and creating a deadly build for your character is fascinating over and over again. Unfortunately, most of the other aspects of "Backpack Hero" are mediocre at best. The story is boring and becomes almost unbearable due to a miserable font. The construction of Haversack Hill is confusing and unnecessarily complicated. The fights sometimes lack balance, which is why you are quickly too strong or too weak. In addition, the menu control with controller and virtual mouse cursor is neither pleasant nor intuitive. Nevertheless, the core mechanics manage to entice you again and again with another run and have fun with it.”
