GODBREAKERS is a great game for people who want fast, fun fighting and a game that rewards skill and trying new things. The most fun will be had with premade multiplayer groups, but solo players can still enjoy a well-tuned roguelike that can be played a lot of times in the 10–15 hour content timeframe.

GODBREAKERS is an action experience in the roguelike style that combines fast-paced combat, an engaging progression system, and a unique visual world, immersing the player in a cycle of challenge, defeat, and victory. The design of diverse bosses and enemies, the ability to customize builds through the Godbreak system, and the harmonious rhythm of music and sound effects create an immersive and exciting experience.

Godbreakers takes what works, fast, fluid combat and satisfying progression and adds enough of its own personality to keep things exciting. The absorb-and-attack mechanic is a clever twist, the boss fights are intense, and the co-op potential is huge. If you’ve been burned out on roguelites, this might not shake that feeling entirely. But if you’re looking for something with punchy combat, strong replay value, and a good excuse to yell at your friends over voice chat, Godbreakers is worth diving into. A free demo is still available on Steam.

Godbreakers burns bright but fast. Its free-flowing combat and god-stealing chaos make for an exhilarating roguelike loop, yet repetition and uneven tuning stop it from achieving true divinity.

Godbreakers is a bit rough around the edges and desperately needs a few updates and polishing, but the core gameplay as well as co-op is solid, showing plenty of potential.

Godbreakers is fun and dynamic. The art style is minimalist yet refined, the combat is fluid and inviting, and there's a huge variety of equipment, upgrades, and special attacks available. It's a respectable gaming package at a relatively reasonable price. However, if you're looking for a deep and diverse experience, Godbreaker may not be the right title for you. The game's launch content isn't particularly varied and diverse, making the experience quickly repetitive. This repetitiveness is partially mitigated by online co-op, though not completely eliminated.

There's a lot of frantic fun packed into GODBREAKERS, especially if you enjoy experimenting with playstyles and enemy abilities. It may be a little limiting of an experience but there's enough entertainment to be had that I still recommend it. 💢

Godbreakers is packed with smooth, tight action and engaging boss fights that can be invigorating in co-op. But a lack of content outside of blistering difficulty modifiers may be disappointing for roguelike fans.

With a beautiful, minimalist artstyle and some great encounter music, there’s a lot to keep you coming back to Godbreakers.

A stilish roguelike which is fun in multiplayer but feels underdeveloped under several key aspects.

My journey with Godbreakers lasted for over a dozen hours, but, I actually finished the game in under ten. I had so much fun, that I kept fighting bosses and unlocking new cosmetic extras even after finishing the campaign. After a while, the lack of enemy variety and the limitations of the combat system started to wear on me, but I’ll happily return once an update drops. It’s an enjoyable and rather small title that could really benefit from more content.

Godbreakers bursts with flashy combat, epic bosses, and a killer soundtrack, but shallow builds, weak levels, and unresponsive controls keep its strong ideas from truly shining.

Godbreakers is awesome solo, and a blast with friends. The Roguelite structure combined with slick, kinetic, third-person action is a wonderful fit and hits a lovely flowstate often. Snappy dodge canceling makes the gameplay consistently fluid and rewarding, and enemy/boss designs are all great. I'm having a very good time running this game over and over with different modifiers, I just wish some of the quests were a bit more clear in their objectives. Still, Godbreakers is well worth checking out, regardless of if you're going it alone or with a squad.
